We visited Darwin for lunch on Easter Sunday and were very impressed. It's a really original and well presented venue with some great touches: clean, simple tables with cutlery drawers so that they don't get cluttered; citrus-filled complementary iced water and beautifully designed jugs; and smaller sharing plates so that this is made easier. We ordered roast chicken for two, with all nearly sides (roast potatoes, tenderstem, honey glazed spiced carrots twice; the cauliflower cheese we gave a miss to!) and it was exceptional. Piled high, with surrounding meaty juices on a large platter, it was incredibly moist and well seasoned. The sides too were perfectly cooked and moorish. Before this, the shared bites of beef cheek arancini and goats cheese croquettes were a perfect foil for this: light, fragrant and delicious. We look forward to going back for the a a la carte

Delicious variety of dishes, starters, mains and desserts prepared in front of us - all extremely tasty. Made to feel very welcome. Well presented, looked and tasted fantastic especially as some dishes were very new tastes to us! Lovely cocktails and good choice of drinks. Loved the ambience and art work. We'll definitely be back!

Popped into this new restaurant for lunch on the off chance and wow. Young chef and his team bring vibrant and sophisticated food to this understated restaurant.
Modern surroundings with the kitchen open to diners allows a feeling of personal service and involvement.
Starter of mussels was a new twist on an old favourite, scallops with leeks were amazing. Mains of cod produced a delicate dish that took the fish to a subtle new taste level. The beef with wild garlic was excellent.
Great lunch offering at £27 consisting of starter , main and glass of wine could become a regular feature of any visit to the area.
Don’t miss out and check it out now before it is discovered by all in south London. A must!!!!

Have eaten here twice in one week. On both occasions we had fantastic food and service. We had all four courses. The arancini balls and goats cheese were wonderful. The mussels and pigeon, then the venison were of the highest standard. The pain perdu and chocolate mousse were absolutely delicious. This is a very special restaurant and there is a great interaction with the chefs and waiting staff. Highly recommend. A fantastic find.

The food here is simple, it's a small menu ideal for sharing. they take time with the food so the menu works, and they constantly refine the plates which shows a great passion for food. Veggie stuff is pretty good, but with a small menu not a lot of choice but all very tasty.

Service was great and loved the draws with cutlery, the only thing that slightly let's it down is it's very bright and seems a little lacking in ambiance, can't put my finger on it. But it seemed more canteen style without the canteen pricing. Even with the amazing tables and chairs. I would come back but with fiends rather than for romance.
