Neighborhood: Covent Garden
Description: In the heart of Covent Garden The Long Acre stands tall and proud to be an integral part of the capital's nightlife. For over 10 years we have done what we do best for the wonderful people of London. You might have known us better as Scarlet's Covent Garden. Well, we've undergone a lick of paint and a bit of a spruce up to become a fresh new venue. It's still us, only better.

Well don't come if your looking for more than somewhere to sit and have a couple of glasses and a drop of food. Because you won't get it and if entertaining what you need there are plenty of venues on your doorstep in this part of London.

Staff were polite, but as usual in so many of these London pub/restaurants, only a couple of female staff left to manage a busy lunchtime service, whilst the manager sat upstairs playing on his computer!! Probably researching on how to be a strong and effective restaurant manager!

So I can't blame the girls if they look a bit fed up, you would too. But a word of advice don't sit too close to the bar, they tend to bang the life out of the coffee container, just a little too aggressively which made us jump each time! Probably letting out a bucket load of frustration.

So I wouldn't be harsh on the staff but I would say they look like they need a more motivated manager.
Sarah - Oxford.

The staff were incredibly rude. Came to celebrate a birthday with some friends and was treated rudely by staff despite nobody having yet drunk anything. After we were refused entry to the private area that we had prepaid for, the manager did not even give us a penny of a refund. Extremely disappointed.

For a Friday night out, honestly very disappointed. Poor atmosphere, very unhelpful staff and just all around a very disappointing end to what had started out as a great night.

I ordered the Easter Chocolate Special. The drink was supposed to come served with a cocoa powder dusting and adorned with mini eggs (sounded lovely). The drink was served with neither of these delights. When challenged, the bar tender’s response was “we don’t have any” - he shrugged his shoulders and ignored me. Also, my partners pint was served in a dirty glass and tasted ‘off’ - Needless to say we won’t be frequenting this establishment again in a hurry! Customer service pretty much zero...

Visiting from the US with a friend in March 2018. We wanted a late dinner and got to The Long Acre a bit before 9 pm. We asked if the kitchen was still open and the employee said that it was supposed to close soon but he would ask if they would consider taking us. They did. We ordered chips, sandwich, salad - figuring it would take a brief amount of time giving that they were going to close up soon. It took a long time. We almost thought they had forgot about us. Food was fine. We were done and waiting for the bill when they wanted to move us in order for the DJ to set up nearby. We kept reiterating that we were done and just needed to pay and leave - it just took a long, long time for 'meh' meals.
