Stayed 2 nights on the way to and from a Veterans tour of Normandy, couldnt fault it. Beautifully appointed rooms, lovely breakfast, one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in! The staff are to be highly commended, fabulous!

We needed accommodation in London for a night to enable us to go to a Classic Spectacular show at The Royal Albert Hall. As a member of The VSC I was able to book two en-suite rooms for my daughter and her partner, and wife and self.

I do not enjoy driving in London but with the satnav postcode we easily found our destination in spite of heavy traffic and several traffic issues because of roadworks. On arrival Tony met us at the front door and helped the ladies check in and sort out baggage. Derek, the concierge, proved to be efficient and helpful. We arrived just after 13:30 to find that both our rooms were ready for occupation. Tony assisted me in finding on street parking outside the hotel (took around 20 minutes for a parking slot to become available as folks checked out of The VSC).

Parking on the Sunday until 08:30 Monday morning was free. However, we had to contact a number (shown on local parking signs) to pay for the two hours we needed on Monday morning after 08:30. Reasonably simple process (the text facility did not work).

Both couples found the rooms to be clean and equipped to a good standard. The beds were comfortable and provided a good nights sleep. En-suite bathroom, plenty of storage space, and TV. The rooms proved to be quiet and we found that there were no issues of noise from external sources. Our room (318) was a bit bigger than (316).

Our booking included bed & Breakfast, and a set three course dinner for both couples. A bottle of wine was included, one bottle for each couple.

The concierge organised a taxi to take us to The Royal Albert Hall.

On return from The Show at The RAH we enjoyed a few drinks in the bar; were well looked after by Christian who was a pleasant and helpful young man. With time to 'freshen up' we went to dinner at a pre booked time of 19:15.

The waiting staff were helpful and we enjoyed the opportunity to chat to them. Three courses and two bottles of wine helped round off a most enjoyable day. All our meals were tasty and plentiful. In short, service and the meal were excellent.

Breakfast was buffet style. Plenty of choices, we all left satisfied and ready for the journey home. Like our arrival, the departure was efficient and the staff again proved to be most helpful and friendly.

We will definitely use The Victory Services Club when we next return to London. Our thanks to all of the staff we met.

We always stay here when visiting London theatres. It’s a members only club so I always feel quite secure and well looked after here. The decor is very cosy with lots of open fires and reading rooms and lounges. Staff could not be more helpful and the beds are extremely comfortable. We had a family suite which overlooked the Edgeware Rd so I was worried about traffic noise but the double glazing blocked it out. Can be a tad stuffy in the restaurant due to the age of a lot of the clientele I took my 19 yr niece for dinner and she was the youngest in there. That said the food and service in the restaurant are better than a lot of top London restaurants and extremely good value for money. The Lamb Tagine was excellent as was the Mezzes starter.

Booked for the special Mothering Sunday lunch (two or three courses, including glass of prosecco for "mum"). Easily booked through Club website, prompt service and lovely welcome as usual. Seafood risotto was tasty, pumpkin croquet (sic) most enjoyable. Cannot fault the roast beef - so tender! Rhubarb crumble given excellent status by the man, I was slightly disappointed with the strawberry dish (not macerated, too much cream/shortbread biscuit for my personal taste). Probably ate far too much anyway! Everywhere clean and tidy, smart service and friendly in all areas. Made a sad day much more bearable.

Room Tip: Rooms under programme of refurbishment, but excellent. Occasional noise from busy road but mostly addressed now by improved double glazing.

Stayed with friends for 2 nights recently, situated in Marble Arch so quite central, bedroom was nicely decorated, comfy bed with nice linen, flat screen tv, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, iron provided, spotlessly clean, en suite shower room with nice big bath sheets, we ate in the restaurant and had breakfast on both days, all superb especially break which was buffet style but such a choice from the usual cooked offerings to the smoked salmon and cold buffet selection, staff are very welcoming and friendly, nice bar area with another two lounges one with an open fire, would definitely return.
