Visited here as a group of six on the Sunday before bank holiday Monday end of May 2021. We had a reservation because we knew very well that a place like this would be absolutely rammed on a bank holiday Sunday when the weather is glorious. I wouldn't generally advise you to walk in here without a booking because we seen plenty of people turned away at the door when they tried to enter.

I cant say too much about this place because it is what it is and we didn't have food. Its like a tiki bar but outside and you either sit in a small cabin or you sit under cover but outside. The main problem with this place however is not the actual venue its the people it attracts. To put that in context for you, upon visiting the bathroom i witnessed two girls in one cubical with the doors fully open consuming a white powder, it was so brazen I say no more. The toilets appear to be unisex in one cabin like building.

I thought it was ok but service was very slow and it was really difficult to get the attention of a server for most of our visit however this did seem to improve as time went on when it started to creep to near half 7. Maybe Team A came on at 7 to replace Team B. The draft beer options are really disappointing, no imported beer on offer which i thought was strange for a place like this. The best beer available in bottles was Estrella Damm but be prepared to cough up £4.00 for this option. The other patrons in the group where on G & T's and they thought their drinks where ok.

Would i visit again? Unlikely, poor draft beer options, questionable clientele and slow service have put me off. The servers did seem nice when we did eventually get service, i have to say that but its generally a no from me.

We had a couple of beers here, everyone was really friendly, our server (Emma I think) was very helpful in explaining everything as our party was running late close to last orders!

Loved it :)

We walked past Birdies, and noticed that the inside looked really lovely and so thought we would stop for a drink. When we entered, there was no signage stating whether you had to be seated, and as we walked through the seating area a few members of staff saw us but did not say anything - from this we gathered that we should just grab a table. Once seated, we had a look for a menu when a staff member came over and said ‘has anyone seated you here?’ To which we replied no, and he said ‘so you just came in and sat down.’ Which obviously was what we thought procedure was not knowing any differently. This staff member explained that there should have been a host (there wasn’t) and then asked us to walk with him back through the restaurant. This seemed a little unnecessary given the large amount of free tables - if the one that we had taken was reserved, I would have happily just moved somewhere else rather than going all the way back through the restaurant to be greeted. When we got to the place the host was meant to be, there was no one there. The staff member asked another staff member, who simply shrugged. He then told us that we’d just have to wait there until she arrived, shrugged his shoulders and left. We stayed for a few minutes, but ultimately decided that we no longer wanted to be there. I would have loved to have been able to review the food and drinks, but unfortunately the rude staff and mismanaged restaurant did not allow for this.

Booked an outside cabana in advance and was relieved we had, no chance of a walk in as the bar was fully booked . The new regulations meant table service only which they were doing as swiftly as possible, but we were waiting ages to get our food and drink ordered. However the staff handled the pressure really well and every one of them was friendly and apologetic about the wait. remaining super enthusiastic so why complain? , cocktails were great, and food also. We will book again when back in Liverpool .
