“Afternoon Tea.”

Lady Rose's Edwardian Tea Room
Ranked #1 of 9 Dessert in Lincoln
Certificate of Excellence
Price range: US$3 - US$26
Description: A traditionally English, living history tearoom serving light meals, quality teas and coffee, homebaked cakes and scones all within a fully licensed Downton inspired setting. Full silver service, tea is poured for you by the household staff and therefore may not suit everyone, and in a warm, friendly and peaceful environment. Whilst we are fond of children the tearoom does not have the space to accommodate pushchairs, prams and mobility scooters therefore we have a NO CHILDREN UNDER SIX YEARS OLD policy.

We had a wonderful afternoon tea here today. My daughter is a vegan, and they went to a lot of trouble to ensure she didn’t miss out on an amazing experience. We would thoroughly recommend this tea shop, and will definitely make a return trip next time we are in Lincoln. Great service, great food and good value for money. Thank you so much for a great afternoon.

This is a great place to step back in time and experience an Edwardian tea. The couple who run the teashop dress and act the part very well. There are also themed events which look good! The food is excellent.

We had been meaning to go in here for a while as we had read such good reviews about it. We went mid afternoon as we thought it would be less busy. It is very popular and doesn't have many tables so it is advisable to book if you really want a table here. Two of us managed to get the last table on a miserable, wet day so I think it would be very difficult generally. They have 3 different afternoon tea menus. One you can order on the day and the other two in advance. The atmosphere is lovely and is has been carefully decorated so that it is not too much. The staff and owners were so helpful. They have a small selection of savoury dishes as well as cakes. The salmon and cream cheese sandwich was fantastic and the bread and salad were very fresh too. Cakes were amazing, traditional with a twist. They looked large but were so light that we did actually manage to ficish them. Prices are very reasonable.

Called in on the strength of tripadvisor reviews for tea and a cake, and was not disappointed. This place is charming, delightful and extremely good value. Decked out in Edwardian style, the place is adorned with an assortment of early 20th century artefacts and costumes. The staff are similarly attired.
Judging from the menu, light lunchtime meals were on offer, together with three varieties of a 'set' afternoon tea, varying in style and price.
However, we wanted a cup of tea - many varieties on offer - and some cake. The cakes were very good (I had bitter cherry and almond - just excellent).

Had a lovely afternoon tea here. It’s not dainty and fancy but lovely atmosphere and food are really lovely. You really feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Will be visiting again x
