Very nice old fashioned tearoom with linen tablecloths and napkins, nice pot of tea and sandwiches, only disappointment is the prices, £7.50 for a chicken sandwich I thought was a bit excessive.

My wife and I happened upon this charming cafe thanks to a blackboard sign in the street and we were very glad to have seen it!

The cafe is small but the tables are well spaced meaning that you do not feel to enclosed. The menu consists of good cafe fare and it is all home cooked with fantastic home made cakes to finish.

We really were impressed with the food. I had the ploughman’s which was very tasty indeed and my wife had the soup with a toasted sandwich, both of which were excellent.

The food is all prepared in view in their little kitchen and the service was impeccable. I can’t see us visiting a different cafe from now on in Lincoln.

1940’s vintage themed tearoom. A lovely setting, china cups and teapots also coffee is served. Varied menu, homemade breads and jams the cakes are delicious. Very friendly staff and very helpful. We saw people having afternoon tea it looked amazing. Looks to be wheelchair friendly we had a child’s buggy no problem. High chairs available from children. Car parking is just a short walk by the Castle walls. Give it a try if you are at the top of Lincoln. It’s opposite the little Greggs.

Tucked away we only found this delightful tea room by spotting their advertising street board. We had tea and homemade scones. Real tea (leaves) served with strainer and large pot all the while listening to 40’s style background music. Lovely atmosphere and good service as well.
