Used to be the only place we would stay when visiting Blackpool. Nice quality accommodation, feels like a million miles away from the bustle of this interesting town/city? Nice staff, free apples at the reception. Decent rooms, very clean.

Stayed: December 2017

Excellent hotel this is our second visit
Very friendly staff, excellent food.
We are very strict on hygiene and this hotel meets our standards. Avery clean modern looking hotel we are going to book up for next year.

We booked to stay here the night prior to our day at the Pleasure Beach, partly because of the free parking, but also as it’s right next to the theme park.
Parking is limited, not enough spaces for the hotel and you can only leave it until 1pm, rather than mess around mid-day, we moved the car out before we went in.
There is a VIP entrance through the hotel straight into the park and the hotel will print your tickets and wristbands ready for you if you give them the details the night before.
We had a family room with bunk beds for the children, which were very cute. They had their own TVs and games. The room was good, quite spacious and very clean.
Plenty of towels and extra pillows were available. Tea, coffee as usual, but also hot chocolate and biscuits which were a hit with the children.
The toiletries were very small to say it was a Family room. I was on ration duty to make sure there was enough for everyone.
Breakfast was buffet style, lots of children with hands in the food, especially the cereal as it was out in big bowls.
Usual hot selection, bacon, sausage, tomatoes, beans, hash browns & scrambled or fried eggs. Poached are extra! There were quite a few chargeable extras. There is semi skimmed milk as well as full fat, but no indication on the yoghurt as to full fat, fat free or somewhere in between. There’s also pastries, toast, fruit and fruit juices.

We stayed 1 night here on good Friday , nice clean hotel
Large car park , rooms immaculate we booked 2 double rooms .
Breakfast very busy however to be expected on the first bank holiday of the year .breakfast , had a good choice of breakfast items with nice coffee machine & good quality food .
Free day pass to walk around the pleasure beach & reduced rate to buy a wristband .
I would stay here again if ever visiting Blackpool .
Every member of staff we came across we're very friendly & said good morning & smiled .
This makes a very pleasant change

My mum and dad have just returned from the big blue hotel after a four night stay and have asked me to post a review. This trip was arranged last minute and we found it difficult to book a hotel that would allow my dad to reserve the room but pay cash on arrival (my dad is old school with paying things, not into the debit card thing) but problem solved when we called the big, allowed us to book and pay next day when they gotthere. On arrival the room wasnt quiteready so my parents weregiven a free upgrade toa bigger room which was spotlessly clean, comfy bed and everything they needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was "lovely" and the food was hot and plenty of it, even when it got busy the supplies were quickly topped up. All staff were great and always there to greet you and help. The ice machine at reception is a great idea but my mum missed a fridge and a small one in the room fordrinks and medication would be an advantage but all in all they had a great stay. Thank you big blue...keep up the good work.
