Can't gush too much about the scenery. It's simply stunning whichever way you look. Lodore Falls hotel is a great place to break the walk.

Visited Derwentwater with my young family and it was wonderful the fresh air and long walks with excellent views.
Will be returning in August this year.
Well worth a visit.

Really recommend -Before breakfast taking a stroll down to the Lake to enjoy the beautiful serenity!

Keswick Launch-In the afternoon we went back and purchased 2 adult tickets for the complete circuit of Derwentwater and were blessed with lovely weather. It is a beautiful way to spend an hour enjoying the view and getting your bearings.

You can of course get on and off (if you pay attention to timetable )or do what we did, and get off at one of the stops and walk back to where we were staying or to complete one of the walks nearby.

Beautiful part of the Lake District. Lovely forest walks on the edge of the Lake, with views towards Cat Bells and Scafell. Dog loved the lake

The walk around Derwentwater took us 2.5 hours at a relatively quick pace. This was quite an easy walk as it was reasonably flat the whole way. We liked how this walk took us through forest, on stoney beaches, through wetland and parkland - a little bit of everything! Quite busy over the Easter weekend.
