“Apalling service”
Review of Trinity Theatre

Trinity Theatre
Reviewed 15 October 2017

Tonight we saw a puppet show which was great fun; a total delight. Sadly the same cannot be said for the service on offer by this Theatre. We arrived in good time in order to meet our daughter and get a drink. We stood at the bar at 7.35pm and we did not get served until 7.55pm. This was not the fault of the bar staff; the one bar staff. The really frustrating thing was Trinity staff and volunteers could not care less. I approached the floor manager and her only mantra was " he is doing his best". Yes he was but he should never have been in this position. As floor/duty manger she should have tried to help not washed her hands. Even if she had said she understood and would talk to the company that staff the bar I'd have felt better. But no it was definitely this is a "someone elses problem" though she did say she would "pass on my concerns". I have never felt less sure that would happen. I heard so many complain. Of course it meant the show started late. I stress again the show was great fun but Trinity must address this issue of their catering company.

Finally found tickets to see Phill Jupitus. Was not dissapointed. 2 1/2 hours of great poetry and comedy. Enjoyed the tunnocks too! Nice small venue with a well stocked bar including old dairy ale and other good local beers on draft. Will definately see other acts here.

We have just come back from seeing 'One man two guvnors' really very funny and brilliantly performed. Both on stage and musically. Our major issue was that there were only two people serving in the bar which resulted in long queues and although arriving 55 minutes before the start we could only get one drink. No specialist coffees available. I can't help but feel a big loss in revenue for Trinity.

It's a great place to see a movie or a play, have lunch or just coffee/drinks or visit the exhibition. Great friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended

Went to an RSC screened Shakespeare production which was not the best I've seen, which was disappointing. The venue's seating is not comfortable and the place feels run-down. Have been to other things there (concerts, choral, plays) which have been good
