Great staff. Lovely atmosphere in the evening. Very busy on a Monday, which added to the atmosphere. Decor was great with some interesting photos of Kentish scenes and things associated with Shepherd Neame. Pretty courtyard area and garden with heaters. Excellent beer and snacks. Will try the chicken rings next time which looked very popular.

Thank Caroline H

On a cold and windy Saturday night we stopped by this pub for a couple of pints before a meal and to watch the Wales 6 nations rugby game. We were fortunate to get a seat by the roaring (gas) fire, which was comfy. As a minor criticism the tables could have done with a bit of a clean - we ended up having to remove the glasses ourselves and the table itself needed a wipe (which we obviously couldn't do ourselves), but the beers were tasty and the selection is good. Having visited this place many times before I am sure we will return again.

Nice and traditional pub close to the city center. Good beers (Shepherd Neame's brewery) and tasty burgers. One of the best pub in Canterbury. I suggest to try it.

We’ve been here a couple of times for a pint and have not been disappointed. Great selection of house ales, lovely atmosphere and good music on. Solid choice for a drink.

We have visited this pub on several occasions but have never tried the food. Visited here New Year’s Eve for a lunchtime drink and had an amazing sandwich with a great bowl of chips. Would definitely recommend. Always a popular place to drink.
