This is the second time we have eaten here and on both occasions the food and service was excellent. The menu has a wide variety of choice and the food was cooked to perfection. The staff were very friendly and accommodating we will definitely be back again.

This place looked so promising on tripadviser .. pulled onto the car park and rang.. a young lady very abruptly said we are possibly still serving let me check the ovens have not been turned off and just give me your name then just put the phone down. We walked in and said we just spoke to you on the car park - looking slightly embarrassed quickly took our drinks order.. They had obviously had a very hectic easter weekend and had enough.. chicken risotto ok but bit gristly . No one asked at all if our meals were ok and no one said goodbye. Dusty carver backed dining chairs all needs a good clean i think .. don’t normally give anyone a bad review but they did not deserve a good one . Go to the Duke of wellington or the malvern Hills hotel .

The reason why our pub looks so inviting on Trip Advisor is simple – it is; hence the hectic weekend. We went out of our way to accommodate your late lunch. The pub was busy, with a great atmosphere and a real buzz – we can’t understand why you didn’t enjoy yourselves. Maybe it was you, not us, that had had enough of the weekend. Local free-range chicken breast was “gristly”..... really?? An open log fire and low hanging hops equals a cosy old pub but a bit of dust occasionally. Everything else is spotless.
I don’t know about not saying “goodbye” to you but we certainly don’t want to say “hello” again.

Visited this pub on two occasions once on Saturday evening for a meal which was great, brilliant food and staff. The food was served promptly and delicious. Went for a second visit on Sunday to see live music. Once again a warm welcome was given as both the landlord and landlady took the time to chat. Singer was very good. Would definitely recommend if in the Ledbury area.

We had booked for Easter Sunday lunch, which was a good thing, as it was packed and for brief periods quite loud. We had a nice table in the bar area and our drinks arrived very quickly. The Lunch menu showed a good choice of food and again, we were served promptly without being rushed in any way. The pub has an open view kitchen, something I personally like. We all enjoyed the various dishes, nicely presented food and excellent service. Good enough to come again.
It is advisable to book, no wheelchair access. The pub is dog friendly, which is good news for dog owners.

Was looking forward to visiting this lovely pub for Sunday lunch, but whilst tasty the food was only luke warm. Bread & Butter pudding was hot but served with luke warm custard in a cold dish. disappointing and a shame because the pub is lovely. Will probably avoid in future
