We have eaten here several times in the last month or so, both in the evening and at lunch. On each and every occasion the quality of the food has been very good, with the odd dish such as the fresh asparagus (while it is in season) and hollandaise sauce being outstanding.

On the whole the service is good, friendly and prompt, although for our evening meal on 31/5 the service was somewhat slow (over 15 minutes before drinks arrived and over 45 minutes for our first course).

The Set Menu (two courses for £10.95 or three for £12.95) is generally tempting and pretty good value, but it is only available until 7.00 p.m. The main menu has a wide range of dishes to suit all tastes. The house wine red and white ('Lagarde') is very acceptable. A typical two course evening meal for two from the main menu including a bottle of wine and mineral water will be about £60+.

As before, two quibbles are the noise levels and the 12.5% tip added (although, rightly, you are warned about this and can decline to pay so much).

Do not go without a booking, especially in the evening.

As far as we are aware, this restaurant is by far and away the best in the area and we now regard this a 'local' for us while we are in Cheltenham..

I come here for lunch on a regular basis and it never fails to be most enjoyable.

Great service, great food and nice atmosphere even when it's crowded. It's a credit to the staff and the company.

Thank you!

I arrived first, was seated quickly and ordered a drink while I waited for friends. The restaurant and facilities were spotless and the tables were laid perfectly. The service was attentive but not overly so. The food was delicious and piping hot. Small menu but I prefer that as I know that the food will be cooked well.
Bit more pricey than your everyday restaurant but a very nice treat.

Family meal on a busy Friday evening, nevertheless the meals were prepared within a reasonable time and served piping hot. For starters we had the calamari, pate, and onion soup; for mains: the spinach & mushroom crepes, Breton fish stew, and roasted pork bellly. All the food had clearly been expertly cooked and there were no problems athough my onion soup was surprisingly tasteless. Portions were generous and we had no room for desserts. Some of our dining eighbours were rather loud and there were a lot of flat surfaces which seemed to amplify the background noise but to be fair it was a Friday evening. Overall a good experience in a well-organised venue.
