Weekday lunch with my wife, welcomed by staff and shown to table where we decided on the set menu. My wife had the pasta dish and enjoyed it. I chose the steak frites and was disappointed with the size of the steak, especially as there was a surcharge of two pounds. The fries were good and a bowl of leaves were acceptable but nothing could make up for the tiny steak. My wife had the lemon sponge pudding and me the cherry and apple compot; both were enjoyed. A pint of Peroni each proved to be refreshing although, I think overpriced.
All in all a pleasant lunch, spoiled somewhat by the mini steak. Next visit I'll try something a little more filling.
