Good traditional pub food with great service. A little way out of Cheltenham but worth the journey

8/10

Went here for Sunday lunch. Not local to us but were meeting friends staying in Bristol (over here from Madrid). Great place to eat outside but a little cosy inside. The children that were with us had great fun with the bouncy castle and animals. Food was great. I'm a fussy eater but they adapted my Sunday roast perfectly. Can highly recommend the gammon. Not usually a fan of roast potatoes but the ones they serve here are really nice and cooked to perfection!. Others had roast beef and pork and they had a selection of 4-5 vegetables to choose from. Good portions without being too much. Great meals and lovely setting. Only negative was that parking is a bit tight when it's busy. Would definitely go here again if it was local to us.

Just got home after having a lovely meal at the House-in-the-Tree, we had to book and I understand why. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the menu was extensive and the food delicious. Looking forward to going back!

Went there last Sunday with an elderly friend. Although busy, service was quick and friendly. Ideal for families as there are play areas outside and lots of animals to look at. Food excellent and nicely cooked. On a nice day lots of tables outside. Comfortable and oldie worldly pub. Great place to relax in.

We booked a table for 7 adults and 1 child on a Sunday lunch time.Although our booking was for noon it was evident that it was going to be busy.
Once seated the waiter took our drinks order and when bringing them to our table he took our food order. The food arrived after a relatively short wait.Very efficient service.
I had the roast turkey which consisted of several slices of meat. one pigs in blanket and four "Aunt Bessie" type "roast" potatoes. There was also a selection of vegetables to share with everyone else who had chosen a roast meal.
Although all very nice, I thought the £10.95 price tag was a bit steep as I have had carveries for the same price which offered more choice and were better value for money.
However, a lovely pub with a nice animal area and bouncy castle.
