This is a lovely hotel to visit for a variety of reasons, (lunch, dinner, coffee etc) but I have recently found out they use REN products and booked in for a facial. The service was great!. The spa is located in a lovely quiet area of the hotel. Beauty rooms are spotless, and the service I received was excellent. Not too much chat from the therapist, or hard sell on the products used. There's opportunity to shower before or after the service if you wish and a rest area to enjoy a post service drink. You walk away with a detailed breakdown of the products used to reflect on after, and there's a 20% off deal on facials mid week, would recommend booking ahead.

We stayed for one night in a superior double room. The room (226) was very spacious with two comfy little reading nooks in the windows, large bed and nespresso coffee machine. The bathroom was lovely, big waterfall shower head and a bath, with a switch in the bathroom to turn the speakers on :)

Downsides.....very very creaky floorboards in the room above ours meaning my husband woke at 6am when they did and started moving round. It was incredibly hot in the room, we had the air con on but can't go below 19 degrees, when it's 24 outside 19 doesn't quite cut it. The fridge in the room was not really working so drinks were warm, at least it stopped us spending a fortune on the mini bar!

Best bits.... great food and drinks, lovely atmosphere, very laid back and right for us. The space of our room was fabulous and definitely worth paying the bit extra. Comfy bed and bedding :)

We would definitely stay again but request a room with no room above, problem solved!

We stayed here overnight at end of May - so not exactly height of summer. The Room we had was on the third floor and was uncomfortably hot - the climate control (not aircon) served no purpose whatsoever . The floor standing fan in the room should have been the giveaway that there was an issue. When brought to attention of reception we were advised "nothing they can do, rooms on 3rd floor get the heat from the other floors!!" Our friends in a 2nd floor room had no such issue, their room was a comfortable temperature.
Breakfast when it was eventually served was delicious, but the experience was slightly spoiled as we had to wait over an hour 09:30 to 10:40 for it. I think they forgot about us!! Other guests arrived after we did were served before us, and left before we saw any hot food.
Having said all of that, the hotel looks great, and standard of fittings in bathrooms etc are good quality. I think they prob need to bring the service up to the same high quality of the fixtures and fittings.
The location of the hotel is good, and within easy walking distance of bars at the Montpellier end of town.

This is a beautiful hotel set in a leafy environment, a few minutes' walk from the town centre. The rooms are furnished to a high standard and the service is warm and friendly. Rates are also reasonable - great value for money.

The hotel is situated in a lovely part of Cheltenham with walking distance to the city centre. The hotel itself is very modern chic with all the amenities to expected from a boutique. The rooms are very spacious and the breakfast is very good with all the classics available on the cooked menu
