Description: The Brighton Ballroom has recently been taken over by Brighton-born Alex Proud, owner of the Proud Group, a conglomerate of six UK locations based in entertainment & the arts. The Brighton Ballroom has been many things and as a member of the Proud Group it will continue to live up to its legacy of a popular live music and retro venue during the summer. The venue features a swanky cocktail bar with a well-placed balcony, offering guests a bird’s eye view of all the club’s goings-on. Proud Group reopened the iconic venue with the promise of a gradual yet extensive restoration project. The transformation began with the launch of the Ballroom’s new restaurant offering a bespoke dining experience under the direction of Michelin-trained chef Finlay Logan. The launch has established the Ballroom as the retro supper club of the south at the same time bringing a touch of old-world glamour back to this historic venue.

Fun morning but not worth the money, the event information said bottomless period started at 12:30 and ended at 14:00 however when we arrived we were told it finished at 13:30, so really only an hour was bottomless. They served the courses in the wrong order and the food wasn't great.

The food is clearly made in bulk, in advance so it's of a really poor quality, like a cheap airplane food. There were so many hidden costs, making it a very expensive evening. £4 extra for the prawn crackers. The tuna sashimi starter was frozen in the middle and obviously not fresh. The main course (Sole) was an extra £7 and inedible. The side of pak choi was a further £5 extra per person and overcooked. The desert was a congealed chocolate mouse that had also been made much earlier. The coffee was also really metallic in taste. The "bottomless cocktails" are actually just vodka and mixed fruit juice which the waitress pour from a mass jug into the cheap glass tumblers you get in budget breakfast buffets for the fruit juice. If you want an actual cocktail, they are an extra £10. Bottles of prosecco are around £45. All in all, the night cost me about £300. For that kind of money, I would have rather taken my date to away for the weekend. The entertainment was okay, but I agree with the other comments, this wasn't burlesque just a handful of amateurs shaking their talentless tassels.

Went here with my partner. The staff couldn’t of been nicer and we had a fantastic seat but this wasn’t burlesque. There was a woman doing the hoola hoop, a man dressed in a less than attractive suit dancing and a woman walking in pins. The food was average but good size portions I wouldn’t recommend the curry! I would say great night fir having a laugh and bit of comedy but not a night for burlesque
