This lovely apartment is situated in the old Naval Victualling building and is maintained to a very high standard. The apartment was fitted out to ensure all home comforts were met. The view over the marina was lovely. The Royal William Yard is a little way out of the centre of Plymouth and the Barbican, but this is not a problem as the buses run every 15mins and it took just 10mins to get to the centre. There is also a small ferry the takes you directly to the Barbican. A number of restaurants are situated on the ground floor of the apartment building, just perfect. My husband and I had an amazing holiday. The apartment manager Phil was always on hand to help if you have any queries.

Although we travelled to Plymouth for rather sad reasons the accommodation was brilliant and was thankfully one thing we didn't have to worry about at all. It was in a lovely area and the owners representitive who met us was really helpful and accommodating.

Room Tip: Quite warm building. Don't need the heating.

Very good location with parking. View over water lovely. Handover of keys went smoothly with manager. Lots of restaurants close by but no noise issue at all. We ate in and found the facilities were very good

The Royal William Yard is a perfect holiday location. A self contained development of apartments and as imortantly restaurants and bars. It is a convenient distance from the centre of Plymouth and also offers foot ferry to the City and across to Mount Edgcumbe. The views across the water are fabulous, both from the apartment and around the development.
As for the apartment itself: very well equipped. A huge living room/ diner / kitchen with decent chairs and large screen TV. Additionally dishwasher and washing machine.
As long as you take the view that a bedroom is purely for night time it is fine: i.e. it is a little small and could have done with more storage. Plus one of the large building pillars rather intruded into the room.
Everything was very clean, both inside the flat and in the communal areas. As it is not close to any roads it was very quiet and the nearest restaurants, although popular and very close, were not positioned in any way that generated noise that could be heard from the apartment.
There is no air conditioning so it was rather hot at night time even with the window open.
The "meet and greet" was friendly and efficient.
Great place to stay!

We stayed in the Royal William yard apartments, everything we needed, even laundry detergent. So easy to get around, either by local bus or take a ferry or 2. Huge selection of cafes and restaurants and fresh bread from the bakery.
