Have been here a few times to enjoy lunch by the river, plenty of choice on the menu, food was delicious and the staff very efficient and friendly. Great place to sit back and enjoy a good meal in a nice atmosphere, happy to recommend to anyone.

Popped in as meeting Niece from station. Ideal as we had two dogs with us and staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was very good and made for an enjoyable lunch.

We stopped here for a family meal (5 adults) on Easter Sunday and weren't disappointed by the Sunday carvery. Unanimously we all enjoyed our meals and were particularly impressed by the quality of the vegetables on offer. At £11.50 each we felt that it was good value too.
We followed with desert (£1.50 discount with the carvery) which were equally good although we did have to wait 30 minutes from ordering.
The staff at the Mill on the Exe were also very good. All in all, we would recommend a trip here.

We visited on a very busy Saturday night and were greeted by a very friendly member of bar staff and then, our waitress for the evening;cant remember her name, tall, blond maybe eastern european? She was amazing and dealt with us very efficiently. There was a very large group arrive a little after us and she ensured that our order be placed before theirs. We were not left waiting long when placing dessert order or receiving our bill.A huge thank you also to the male barman who was about to light the fire. Sadly, I become wheezy when close to smoke of any kind and when I mentioned this, he abstained from lighting it....at least until after we left.....much appreciated. The food itself was fabulous. I had the harrisa salmon, which was cooked to perfection. My daughter had the 'not quite fish and chips' which was delicous......and huge!!. Definitely recommend this place

Ordered a steak burger, it should have been amazing at £12.75 but it wasn’t.

The actual burger was ok, but the chips tasted horrible and the brioche bun was burnt.

We were a large party and I couldn’t get out of my seat easily. I thought I’d mention it to our waiter when he brought back the promised mayonnaise but that never came. When our waitress finally cleared our plates she didn’t acknowledge that she was clearing away plates of chips and burnt buns.

Disappointed.
