Just happened across this place as we were walking to Porthminster Beach, popped in on the off chance and staff were happy to accommodate the four of us and the dog! The views were lovely and the food was good too. Would definitely visit again.

We stopped of here for a drink on their lovely roof terrace. The staff were very friendly and the seating was well spaced out. Blankets had been provided for guests which was a lovely touch and the view across the bay of st Ives was great. The only thing that spoilt our experience was the soil pipe came up right next to our table so we had an unpleasant smell floating around every few minutes. We would definitely visit this establishment again but ask for a table at the other end of the terrace .

After a lovely afternoon looking around St Ives we stubbled across this little gem for some dinner. We were a family of 4 ( 3 adults and 1 child).
We were greeted at reception by a very friendly Crystal who gave us menus and showed us to the roof top terrace.
The views are AMAZING!!
We ordered our food & drinks and it did not disappoint! The seafood platter was delicious and very good value for money.
Josh our waiter was excellent at recommending drinks and keeping our little one happy when he was getting tedious so bought his ice cream out early whilst we were still eating!
Overall a fantastic experience and we will Defiantly be returning soon!

We came for opening night since lockdown, ww had food and drinks on the terrace which was lovely in the sunshine. We hadn't eaten since breakfast so was fairly hungry and even though the website and Facebook advised it was closed there were plenty of covers to keep the staff busy.
Unlike other restaurants/pubs we were able to get seated pretty much straight away.
Started off great friendly and welcoming staff with a bit of comical sarcasm from our waiter.
We ordered drinks and the seafood sharing platter which was lovely! No complaints whatsoever.
We then ordered a child's tomato pasta and a crab with prawn linguine which we asked for garlic bread side and tenderstem broccoli (however these weren't keyed in as our waiter later advised us). The linguine was (as advised) spicy but to the point where u couldn't taste anything else but heat! I would suggest they tone the heat down as the crab and prawn were inedible I left majority of mine due to this plus you couldn't taste anything else but chilli which was disappointing.
Also £17 for just crab and prawn linguine without a side and not a full plate/bowl was a little expensive.
Overall a nice experience brilliant sharing starter but main disappointing.

We were a family of 4 and booked two double rooms for 8 nights. Starting on a positive, we booked room 35, which we were advised was the best and had the most wonderful views. However, the rooms were not serviced due to Covid, which was fine but we had to made repeat requests for basic necessities over and over again and wait hours to have them sent up to our room, made to feel like we were an inconvenience, rather than guests. After a few days, we mainly emptied the bins ourselves rather than continuously requesting this. The breakfast menu was limited and we usually waited 15 minutes before we were even acknowledged in the restaurant, which wasn't busy, until the member of staff assigned to our table became available, even to bring water, which we requested every day. The attitude of some staff was patronising and hostile. It was obvious that there was a certain amount of stress due to the pandemic and we tried to be understanding of this but service with a smile just didn't exist. We paid a premium price for 8 nights during peak season, despite the reduced service!
It is advisable to book parking in advance as it is really limited, which we didn't, our fault, so had to park quite a way from the hotel for 5 nights. Would also advise to book restaurants in St Ives in advance for evenings as they were very busy, which thankfully we did. Overall, we had a disappointing experience at Pedn Olva.

Room tip: Room 35 has the best views.
