We are regular diners here at the Architect (in fact I’m going again tomorrow) and can never fault the staff, service , ambience, food or the selection of gins on offer!!

The menu has recently been updated so there were several new dishes to try-would recommend the halloumi chips with chilli sauce, sticky chicken wings and the mackerel on the starter menu and the fish cakes on the light bite was delicious. Steak pie went down a treat as did the veggie (gluten free) curry. We sadly didn’t have room for desserts but maybe next time.

Had a lovely dinner here on a Friday night. It gets quite busy so bookkng is necessary. Very cool vibe and location is perfect. If you’re dressed for it-sitting outside on the flower-pot filled patio is heavenly. Service is excellent and the selections are a plenty. Although we were a couple, there were a few families around as well—probably because we booked for 6:30pm for drinks before dinner.

Ate here with the kids and husband food took a while but it was very busy and we sat outside where the wasps were very attracted to the bin and the our food so that was a bit annoying but not really anyone's fault. The food was good not the best ever but nice all the same I would eat here again and my kids ate it and enjoyed it so can't complain. Drinks pics were slightly expensive but you expect it in places like this. Overall i would recommend this place for a nice family meal.

I enjoyed a birthday meal for ten people in the private room. The staff were very helpful, and, as I don't live in Chester, even kindly picked up a birthday cake I had ordered from a local shop. They called to confirm they had it, so no need to worry.

On the night the food was great, staff attentive and everyone was very happy with what they had ordered.

Many thanks for making it a night to remember!

Me and 4 friends came here for sunday lunch having pre booked a table. The place was completly rammed as it was a Lovely sunny sunday which always atracts the crowds to the lovely situated pub. The girl who serverd us was clearly stressed and rushed off her feet, and took our order in 5 seconds flat to quickly get it sent though as we had already been waiting 30 mins for the service. Food arrived promtely even tho there was a considrable wait between starters and mains (and 1 main was given to incorrect table). When finished mains we were completly forgotten about as no one came to check on us, when we finally got a waitress attention we asked for the bill even tho we would of looked at the desserts if someone had come and cleared our table. We then waited what seemed forever for a card machine which never came and luckily a guy at the bar could see our faces and quickly came to the rescue. The food was lovely and Im sure the service would of been fine on a quiter day but its a defo not worth a visit on a sunny afternoon if your wanting a nice meal.
