We always look forward to visiting the Ring of Bells. Unfortunately, today while visiting the service was half cut and a bit of a let down. After being sat down it took 10 mins to be asked it we wanted a drink. We had to ask for water 3 times. When our starters arrived the bread was hard. Once we finished we were asked if we were ready for our mains and then left with our plates in front of us for what felt an age. When I mentioned the bread the waitress didn’t even pretend to care. We weren’t asked if we wanted more drinks or if our food was okay. Tables needed clearing and all you could see was a group of waiters and waitresses talking and swearing at the end of the bar. Overall, I feel let down and hope it was just a one off.

Visited bank holiday Monday with my husband and daughter. Staff all lovely and helpful, everywhere really clean despite it being quite busy.
Food was absolutely gorgeous (we both had the gammon loin) however the homemade chips, although tasted nice were a bit hard.
Shame the roast dinners are only available on a Sunday, but we will definitely be back to try one as we’ve heard they are very good. Didn’t have desert as was quiet full and nothing really jumped out the menu for me to make a pig of myself!!! Haha!! :-)
Set in a lovely quiet village with ample car park and a shop across the road which is handy.
Would recommend and will return.

Me and my mate called in here for something to eat on Easter Sunday evening after a days walking around the area. The main reason was because it's a dog friendly pub with water and doggy snacks provided. There was a decent selection of food on plus some nice cask and craft beers, also a great selection of Gins. The staff were very friendly and the food was well presented and the portions were also a decent size. I think that if i lived locally this would be a place i would willing go to for both food and a drink.

Sunday evening meal, service was incredibly slow. Sunday lunch menu was still being offered despite having many ingredients no longer available. Meat overcooked. Starters were good, pudding excellent but mains very haphazard and taking an extraordinary time to appear. Meal took two and a half hours.
Bit of a let down.

We held our daughter’s 1st Birthday Party here and everything was spot on.

Holly who organised everything was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. They were more than happy for us to have our ball pit and bubble machine for the little people on the day.

The staff were amazing on the day so helpful and friendly.
