This is a great little cafe / outdoor bar nestled just above a walkway which runs parallel with the river Isar, also the name of the beautiful valley through which it flows. The riverbanks are a very popular destination for both Germans and locals, no surprise since the surrounding scenery is spectacular! The Kiosk is a great stopping point and offers a variety of wares from coffee to mulled wine, as well as light snacks. In addition to the outdoor seating, a small indoor venue is also available in the form of a heated tent (very necessary in the icy cold Munich winters). Close by a steel bridge crosses the river, where lovers pledge their eternal fidelity in the form of locks attached to the railings!
