Too far from the regular attraction points - not much to see unless you are interested in solidarity.

Point Petre is a relatively hidden gem in Prince Edward County. There are no signs to the water. Drive or walk down one of the lanes that lines the main road and at the end you will discover a wide open view of the lake with easy access to the shore.
The area is rocky with either the rounded stones typical of so many County beaches, or great slabs of stone. If you are staying for any length of time, a camping chair is a great idea - as is some form of shade. The beach is totally exposed to the sun.
This is a great spot for kids who want to paddle, with the caveat that there is no sand! It's ideal for folks who want to enjoy the beautiful open water views of Prince Edward County without the crush of crowds. We love this place and inevitably walk rather than drive along the forested lanes just for the pleasure of the canopy of trees. It's a great place to enjoy a Great Lake, get wet gradually if you feel like it, or go for a walk along the shoreline.

While this is a beautiful spot it has not really been developed into anything. Strangely, there are decomposing very large fish all over the shore and hundreds of shotgun shells. Wonder what goes on there at night.
