“A temple where the quiet and beauty is wonderful”
Review of Mahadeva Temple

Mahadeva Temple
Reviewed 22 February 2017

We visited the place last week. The approach is lined by trees and cobbled path. There is total silence as one approaches the temple which has beautiful carvings. The temple is small with well maintained garden. The feeling of peace it affords moved even an atheist like me.
Avoid the Mahashivratri when it is inundated by devotees.

Visited the Mahadeva Temple last month. Beautiful rock carved temple is located in the lush green forest. A must visit place for archeology lovers. There's also a waterfall approximately 4kms from the temple. Its an hours trek to reach the foot of the waterfall. Paradise for birdwatchers.
Food and accommodation available in Mollem, 14kms away from the temple.

Very Serene place. It is 13th century Temple dedicated to Shiva. It is deep inside Bhagwan Mahavir Wild Life Sanctuary in a practically no man zone.

We saw Blue eared Kingfisher at the stream near entrance along with couple of other bird species. So perfect.

Tambadi Surla Temple is very remote from the urban North Goa. It is about 2 hours drive from main city. The drive is good. The location of the temple is very peaceful. The temple is ancient and worth seeing it. There is a small river flowing nearby in which you can get refreshed.
