“I loved this course”

La Belle Golf Couse
Reviewed 23 September 2016

The weather was perfect and so we decided to walk the course. A very good decision. The course is cleverly laid out in a way that makes this a pleasant experience. Most other courses I the area are to be driven in a cart, this one is walk friendly. The surrounding scenery was magnificent and the views from the higher tee boxes is wonderful. Grass was in superb condition (September) and the green perfect. (This did not reflect my actual score) The staff were pleasant and helpful when needed, there is water and toilet facilities on the course at convenient spots Overall a great experience, I will be back. .

On Sept 15, 2016 I golfed a Belle. The course is simple and strait forward that is well groomed. I golfed well until I got to the 15th, when the pace came to a halt. I guess the people playing 18 have to play before you can play. Not a good layout. So I packed in, but still enjoyed my golf day at La Belle. Customer service is top notch and make you feel important. It is a non challenging course that is good for beginners.

This old course starts out fairly bland and then you are hitting down a steep hill to a sharp dogleg left. Don't hit it long. An interesting par 5 sweeping around a canyon where you need to clear the canyon but not hit too far and go out of bounds on the road beyond. Many interesting short par 4s including one at 250 downhill that on the card is listed as 3/4. Only the second course I have played where 2 fairways crisscross ( the other is the Ocean course in Bermuda).

This golf course is a typical woodland golf club. It is one of the oldest courses in the area and is filled with mature trees mostly pine.
I is a bit hilly and has blind shots and some challenging short holes. A few holes were short doglegs and require a thoughtful choice of tee shots.
A decent course to play but this early in the year, there was a lot of green damage making putting difficult.
