Stayed here for a week on a Marriott Interval exchange. Unit we were originally assigned to looked out on the parking lot and we drove 10 hours to look t Georgian Bay. Asked for a water view unit and we were given one directly across the hall within 10 minutes. However, the original unit was far superior inside. We wanted the water view so kept the second unit. Kitchen appliances are dated. Shelves kept falling out of the fridge and the cooktop was not nice. There were dishes left in the dishwasher and clothes from precious guests in the dryer and we had to sweep the floor. I question how well the unit was cleaned. There are several restaurants on site, a small marina which offers water sports, bike rentals, a workout room and pool which was overrun by loud kids most of the time. You have to drive to the Cranberry Hotel across the road for golfing and other amenities. There is an adults only pool but we never did find it. I think it was over i. The Hotel. The water view is very pretty. You Can see nice sunrises. The front desk staff is very nice, and we were not pressured at all to tour the resort to buy a timeshare. There was a bit of construction while we were there and several large pieces of equipment in the parking lot and side of the building.

Room Tip: Ask for a water view unit.

This was our first time staying at a resort in Collingwood and it was amazing!

Compared to prices we saw for the Blue Mountain Village this resort was a much better value and the distance to the mountain activities is apx 10 min so it's worth it if you don't mind being a little bits away from all the action

Cons:

Upon check in staff are very slow and seem unprepared (a staff member issued room keys to a room that already had guests in it to a couple that was in line before us; keep in mind is was Canada Day weekend so it was busy) but even on down time it seemed that the concierge was always full of guests waiting.

Dish cleaning supplies were very limited, you get a little 100ml bottle of soap for dishes, no sponges and 2 packs of laundry soap powder (I recommend you walk with your own stuff so you don't risk running out of supplies)

Our blender was broken :(
The cupboards were dirty
The electric kettle had old settled water in it
Our cookie sheet pan was also dirty

Pros:

The room is HUGE! All modern furniture and appliances plus a fire place and DVD players in all rooms

Comes with dishes, pots/pans, cutlery, cooking tools, paper towel, a blender, a kettle, a dish washer....

The beds are super comfortable

The rooms were very clean

Wall decor are abstract painted pictures with bible verses on them (very encouraging)

The pool is large, not too deep, salt water and heated there are 2 hot tubs; one inside and one outside, plus a water slide for the kids.

Walmart, Winners, Metro and Freshco are all about 5 mins away from the resort

Montannas is right around the corner and lots of fast food nearby.

Overall the hotel is very nice, no major complaints

I think the photos I've provided will speak for themselves.

Thank you for the feedback on your recent stay at Living Water Resort & Spa. You are absolutely right in saying the hotel was extremely busy on the Canada Day weekend with large numbers of guests arriving around the same time frame. Our check-in may seem long, however being a resort and spread out over many acres and with many facilities and services, we want to make sure every guest receives the information upon check-in to make their stay memorable. Guests checking in also have a lot of questions and our Front Desk staff does take the time to answer them. This too can slow down the process during busy periods.
I will pass on your feedback regarding several kitchen items to our Housekeeping department to address. I do apologize for those issues. I am happy to hear that you enjoyed so many of our facilities and services and the surrounding Collingwood area. We look forward to having you back in the near future.

We booked two nights at the Living Water Resort mid week mini vacation to celebrate our anniversary. We arrived around 3.00 pm and we did not receive our room only after 4.30.
Nothing special was prepared in the room to signify our Anniversary:(
We were not told that the rooms with the King size bed actually designed for handicaps so the sink was very low, no counters to put things on, no towel racks, the magnify mirror was at the waist height so can't be used. However the room was nice with a small kitchenette. On the second day there was no maid services to our room and we were not sure if that was a norm for a two nights stay in this resort.
The surrounding of the resort is beautiful and it is still being developed.
The highlight of our stay was the new Aqua Path Spa and the very pleasant Lakeside Restaurant. Great treatments and delicious food. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and hope that the issues we encountered will be addressed in the future, this place has potential to receive 5 stars.

Room Tip: Rooms with King size bed are designed for handicaps therefore bathroom is not comfortable .

Thank you for the feedback on your recent stay at Living Water Resort & Spa. First off, a belated Happy Anniversary to you. Our staff are normally so good at recognizing an anniversary stay with a special surprise awaiting guests upon check-in as long as we are notified of this occasion when the reservation is made. I'm not sure why this did not happen with you and I sincerely apologize. I am so glad you enjoyed our newly Aqua Path Hydrotherapy service in our newly opened Living Shore Spa. It is the only one of it's kind in Ontario and the 2nd one in Canada. I certainly hope we will have the pleasure of welcoming you again and your next visit to the Collingwood area.

Bad: The room we were assigned was in the older building and we had to climb stairs from the 3rd floor to access it. This was converted (somewhat) to have a mini kitchen and the dishes were in the dresser. Weird and depressing.

Good: We upgraded to a room in the new wing and the room was spacious and comfortable. Upgrade was an additional fee but we would have been miserable in the original room.

Messy: We had to walk through construction trash to get to the elevator, machinery was running outside our window all day, the parking lot was in the process of being reworked and repaved.

This will be a really nice place when finished.

Room Tip: Make sure you get a room in the new wing of the building if you are staying multiple days.

We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review of your stay at Living Water Resort & Spa. I am so happy to hear you enjoyed your room in our new Phase 3 development. We are in the final stages of completing the remaining areas of Living Water Resort both inside and out and unfortunately the construction dust comes along with that, but for a wonderful product when completed. I certainly hope you will consider staying with us again on your next visit to Collingwood and experience a construction free stay.

Nice new facility with our wing of the building just recently opened. Decent sized room with very comfortable beds. Convenient kitchenette with microwave, bar fridge and small stove for those that want to prepare food. Good sized balcony. Bathroom nice with jacuzzi tub but a little bit small. Nice pool with slide and hot tubs in and outside. Fully equipped arcade with pinball machines, old school video games, pool table and air hockey. The staff was present, friendly and helpful with suggestions.
