Me and my guy went in APRIL of 2012 so this is a belated review.
This place allowed us to fall in love. But we had the whole place to ourselves. The food was perfect for being on an island, I felt like it was home cooked and made with love.
Here's what you do if you stay on any island in San Blas, among the Kuna Yala people: First you have to go to the travel agent in Panama and book a place, HIGHLY recommend this island, then before you get in car to get a lift to island pick up, go to the store get a cooler and fill it with some beers to keep you happy for a couple of days (don't forget the wine opener if thats your thing), cans are better to squish and take out with you. Maybe bring your own sheets, but that didn't seem necessary to us. For 100/night/person three meals included with a boat ride to anywhere you please I really don't see it being that pricey. But we live in bay area, so yeah
When we stayed there was no electricity so get ready to UNPLUG people. Do not expect a resort feel, but just listening to waves crashing you to sleep and the simple life. We spent half the day trying to ride on a cayuco like the little kids do, it was very entertaining.
I should also mention that my husband is a native spanish speaker who lived in Panama for a while so it was very smooth and clear communication to the people. We were respectful to their land and polite, we even took some phone numbers to book with them directly next time!
