Tried for the first time Vask which many are saying one of the best Spanish
restaurants in the Philippines. The ambience, design of the restaurant are modern. They both have modern and traditional spanish menu. We ordered from both selection and were surprised that the dishes are leaning into a modern Spanish dishes. The food was great although we expected it to be a traditional Spanish dish.

How would one define a top quality restaurant? As a chef, I've been to several establishments specifically serving food to please costumers. One restaurant that made me want to cry in every bite I took is this chic and modern flat in the middle of tall buildings in taguig, the galleryvask. We decided to indulge ourselves with a 15-course menu entitled Alamat. Every thing is worth every penny, I tell you this. From first course up to the last petit fours served in a sungka dish gave me the reason to be inspired more with cooking. Every dish shows you how rich our culinary culture is. You'll be filled with different tastes and experiences you've never seen before. What I like most about this experience is the incredible service that they've given us. Every dish has its own story and like chefs are the ones telling those stories to guests. How wonderful it is to see how chef chele trains his staff very well. I'd like to work with him one day. Chef chele himself entertains his guests and tells everyone to just relax and be at ease with the ride. Please, give yourself a break with all the worries you are thinking right now and treat yourself for a chance to experience dining in this restaurant. No wonder vask has become part of asia's 50 best restaurants.

We dined here 2 years ago and had a terrible experience. Chef was rude and condescending, food was horrible and only the service was ok.
We decided to give it another try today and boy...we couldn't wait to leave and have dinner again elsewhere.
First off, food was still not good. The taste was either off or bland, nothing quite hit the mark. Service was horrendous. My partner decided to try the wine pairing with the tasting menu. They either served the wine too early or too late. And they served it without mentioning the name of the wine or what type of wine it was. On multiple occasions, waiters try to get your plates before we were done.
On a weekend when one would expect the restaurant to be busy, there were only 2 tables occupied which in hindsight was a tell tale sign. I would have rather paid double for good food and service than Php2100 for lousy food and service.

I've always been curious about the food at Gallery Vask because I have friends who've eaten there and I had the chance to hear Chef Chele talk in Madrid Fusion 2015 and I was impressed by the respect he has for local ingredients and dishes. It took me quite some time before I had the chance to dine there but I would have to say the wait was worth it,
We booked a table for 4 and ordered the Lakbay menu, the building wasn't hard to find but the parking was a bit challenging when we saw how steep the incline was.
We were ushered into the deck where we were served cocktails while waiting for our party of 4 to be completed. It started drizzling so we transferred to the Tapas Room until our friend arrived then proceeded to Gallery Vask.
I really liked the menu that we ordered and at first I was thinking I might feel hungry after but after the 5th course I was starting to feel full. I loved most of the dishes and impressed by the execution of familiar ingredients in a non-traditional way.
I will definitely be back to try their Tapas Room!
