I booked the water villa with my teenaged niece, sister, and her toddler for a quick one-night getaway. I loved walking along the long boardwalk towards the villa, which was spacious, with a great view of the water, fishing boats, and balsas (bamboo houseboats). The interior of our villa was very classy. The pillow, mattress and bed linens were so soft, and the bed so comfortable I slept through the night despite learning my toddler niece woke up and cried at midnight!
Since the coastline is very shallow, it's not ideal for swimming. We swam in the pools – my favorite was the biggest pool, which had loungers partially submerged in water so you could sunbathe. At times, the music by the pool wasn't my type (too loud), but we talked to management, and sure enough we were treated to chill out jazz tunes the next morning when we went for our swim. After dinner, when my niece went to bed, we went to the Game Room for pingpong and karaoke – fun!
My favorite meal of the day was breakfast: I loved the champorado with dilis, and the crispy tawilis breakfast and fried flying fish (I forgot its local name). I live overseas, and really craved Pinoy food. Breakfast hit the spot!
The resort has a great view of the sunset, which is really pretty (the tide comes in later in the day too).
