25 km West of Gorontalo, accessible by a winding road, best by motorbike or car as public transport seems irregular and would drop you a couple of kms from the village- but don't let that put you off.
I had my own snorkelling gear but you can probably find, and I rented a life jacket- which I find useful. Direct access to the reef and not at all far to the drop off.
Good visibility even in the rainy season. Lots of fish who swam much closer to me than at Bunaken. Though it was a little rough this was not a problem and there was no strong current.
On the way you will pass the village frequented by whale sharks ( you can't miss it as there are lots of signs). Unfortunately they were not in residence at the time of my visit, but hopefully they have not left permanently- locals will know.

Olele beach is very nice. Need to drive around 30 min from the city. You will find a winding road, but the view after that is really nice. You can stop by to take picture from the top with view of the beach, sea, boat and people's house. The beach is also nice. You can have snorkling with lots of fish. The local guide also tell us that there are several spots for diving in Olele. Also the one that you cant miss is the sunset. Its very amazing... Must visit in here...

If you were curious about the beauty inside Olele Marine National Park, you just need to rent a boat from the bay cost Rp600.000 ($47) to get to the snorkel area. The boat can be occupied by max. 15 persons. If you rent a boat, it is included with the underwater photo... so all of you can take pictures and the boat guy will happily taking pictures of you.. and their photography skill is not that bad.. so i'm really glad for the experience. At the end of the day, after you finished snorkeling and go back to the bay, you can use one of many villagers home to shower or changing clothes. They are very very friendly!!

Nice spot for diving and snorkeling. While low tide a bit tricky to get on the water without destroying coral reef. Ask locals how to get in.
About 40 min ride with bemo from the center.
