Considering the rules they have to work under at the moment they did an excellent job.
The room was excellent.
Danni in Reception and James in the Pool were excellent and are a credit to the organisation. They couldn't have been more helpful.
Will definitely go again.

My wife and I planned a 1 night stay. Both a young and fit seventy year olds. Made the booking on 2/11/20 for a business meeting on the 4/11/20 staying that night leaving on the 5th being the first day of lock down. Our drive from the west country took 6 & 1/2 hours, on our arrival a young girl on reception looked surprised and informed us we did not have a room ? Only to be joined by another lady and said whats the problem, explaining we have a room booked to which she replied we don't its only key workers.Asking why I wasn't informed the young girl said we didn't have your phone number! I replied you emailed me conformation of the booking and that I wished to speak to the Manager, the lady replied i am the manager she then disappeared through a door to reappear with a male member of staff who said he was the manager ! explaining our circumstances what does he suggest ? Only to be interrupted by the lady that we should phone Boris Johnson ! The manager said who did I make the booking through, a third party ? best phone them. I got my phone out and the booking was made on their site, to which he replied I had ticked the terms & conditions box and gave them the right to cancel at any time !!!! unbelievable !!! We were told to leave the premises. With him telling us we would be banned from staying at any of the Britannia hotels. To which I replied thank Christ for that. Be warned you might think you have booked a special function only to find you don't. I have just read an article in the Times by Carol Midgley re Britannia Hotels that they are rated the worst hotel chain for the seventh year running ! no change then. Wish I had read reviews before booking

Stayed29th 30th rude on reception after having to wait ,nothing was explained just give key and papercups ,got to room key not working , she hadn't programmed it no sorry next day we put bin and towels outside room like asked ,empty bin but no towels had to ask,Ask for fresh cups no you have to go to reception. Apon return got to room key not working again queue at reception again they had wiped the card no sorry again, asked for new cups just gave us empty ones .we sayed there as we thought it was a nice location for a wedding. Dont think so if they cant get a room right .
