Owner description: Just like the sailors of old, you’d recognize this Venetian island by the picturesque pastel-colored houses and buildings visible from its shores. Burano also is famous for its intimate lace, an art its people want to keep alive.

The boat trip to this island was about an hour long and the boat was super full but the island was very beautiful with all the colorful houses

Very nice excursion to this small island a 30mins ferry away from Venice. All the painted house and the canal make for a magical atmosphere and a very enjoyable stroll around the place.

What a great little island, very very nice for a half-day walk, pretty close to Venice.
I do recommend to visit it, you won't regret it!

Went to Burano from Venice. The island is lovely and there are great shops and lovely restaurants. Nice to get away from busy Venice. Definitely a worth a trip.

I loved Burano, visited on our final day, and my favourite part of the trip.

The island has a lovely feel to it, warmed by the colourful houses, it is much calmer than Venice itself but stunningly beautiful.

It has many little shops, mainly for the tourist trade, but some have lovely high quality merchandise. The food shops are beautiful with a stunning array of goodies on offer.

It was wonderfully sunny for our visit, after two days of very cold rainy weather so it was a real pleasure to see everyone’s bigs and small’s hanging out to dry!

I’d visit here again in a heartbeat.
