While visiting the Priorat region of Spain, there is an area just below in Capcanes that is the Montsant DO. Family members had been to Capcanes and enjoyed the little town, so we decided to check out the winery.

We emailed them and they responded promptly. During the week they can not do any tours, just tasting, so we happily complied. Vanessa recommended coming from 3 to 5 pm since it's a little quieter then.

We all enjoyed the wines. We were only supposed to taste 3 wines, but when she realized how much we loved the wines, a few more appeared. We were very thankful, as the Grenache was amazing and we ended up buying a bottle.

Her English was much better than my Spanish, and we enjoyed her knowledge of the area.

Highly recommend!

We inquired about this tasting by Email and were recommended to arrive between 3 and 5 pm.
This is, by far, a great tine to come as most of the work at the winery is finished and the staff are much more relaxed and available to spend time and hang out.
We were greeted by Vanessa- what a treat!
So knowledgeable, so friendly and so enthusiastic about her work and generous.
She was happy to explain not only about the wine, but also about the region, the history and geography, and even share a little of the village gossip.
She Spoke good English, but would have been fine even without it.
Ended up tasting 3 more wines (which were amazing) and having a grand time.

We did not get to do a tour of the winery, but this was mentioned in the initial Email.
Would defiantly come back for a tour as well, and of course another tasting.
