So if you ever need a stop this side of Batangas, this will do.
Its clean, its fairly new, and very fairly priced. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Check in is quick, but you’ll need to pay up and give a refundable deposit for the key card right away.
The hotel is on one end of a small mall in the town, with direct access to the mall. So this is a big plus, especially if you need supplies or want a fairly good dining selection.
There is reserved parking in front of the mall, but there are only 3 slots so first come, first served.
The rooms are very spacious, and there is in-room wifi. The signal can get spotty at times, though. The bed provides a relatively good sleep.
Now the downside:
The lobby was quite warm. There is a big fan but at midday this wont be enough. There is an airconditioning unit but they never turned it on.
The hotel has no restaurants, so cross out plans for a breakfast buffet. The mall fastfood outlets open early, though, so that provides an alternative. For really quick meals there is also a convenience store just adjacent to the lobby.
While the rooms are spacious there are no windows. This could get those claustrophobic nerves going. The television unit in the room is to the left of the bed. If youre like me and you like watching TV lying down, you may end up with a stiff neck. There is a refrigerator in the room but the one in my room wasn’t working.
There is no elevator in this hotel. While the rooms are numbered beginning with “3” the hotel staff tells me there are only 2 floors. The stairs tell me its between 2 and 3. So if youre lugging around big bags, get a room near the stairway; the corridor can be a long walk.
All in all, this will do.
