Absolutely fabulous!! Great diving spots around it, very friendly staff, excellent service and very relaxing

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed May 31, 2017via mobile
I stayed here for 4 days to get my "open water" certification. This place is fabulous. You can get here by a boat as no direct roads.

The place is run my Mark and Lourdes and they were very prompt and helpful with my reservations, amendments and queries (a lot of them)

They live in Hong Kong so I paid them in their HK account which is pegged to the USD, so, much better.

They sent me a car to pick me in Manila. The drive was very pleasant and safe. I reached the resort by early evening and met them. I had a room with a fabulous view (see pics)

One of the highlights of my trip was also the dive instructor - Egay. He's fabulous and very supportive. Since it was my first time diving I wasn't too sure but Egay made it smooth for me. He's been diving for 30 years or so.

After a dive, coming back to the great views of the resort made it absolutely relaxing. They even have a spa for those who like it.

The best part is that unlike most resorts, this resort has the best dive sights around it and hence no need to take a boat to go somewhere else to dive.

Great resort. Friendly people, clean accommodation and most of all excellence food.
    1. Food..food... food... Amazing chef Michael.. Lunch/dinner were fantastic especially the BBQ picnic (pork belly, chicken, fish, prawn, etc)... He and his team followed our long distance dive. By the time we finished our 2 dives, the amazing lunch was waiting for us...
    2. The resort - we (7pax) got a huge bedroom each. Unfortunately, bathroom is very small compared with the size of the bedroom. Hot shower (water pressure is very low). Wifi accessible in the room. Carla and her friendly team take care of all our needs.
    3. Diving. Unfortunately, this is not our expectation. We heard so much about Anilao but after 12 dives nothing really to shout about except for the corals and the plants. Very nice healthy corals and plants. We got a great DM (Ah Long). I guess he must be trying very hard to look out for rare creatures..On hindsight, should spend more dive time at the tip of Mabini.

Overall, we still enjoy our trip. Hope to see you all again...

Everything about this place was fantastic!! From accommodations to food, to service, to cleanliness and everything else. After a day of diving , you can hang out and fall asleep in their garden area w palapas and lawn chairs. Did I mention the diving was simply superb?!! The dive master Kix Tenchavez was world class!! The rescue diver Vince Tenchavez made our diving trip that much more safe and secure. I'll come back for sure.... sooner than soon! ❤❤❤ Bauan Diver's Sanctuary surely lives up to its name.

I have been here a few times. I could say that this resort is one of the best. The staff are friendly and the food is great. Me and my family stayed in a family room and it was big. The night we stayed is the night the supermoon appeared. It was really breath taking. It rained during the day but it did not hinder us from diving. I could have given this resort 5 stars if not for the water interruption on the last day. We were about to leave and we took a shower in the bathroom in our room but there was no water. We told the staff about it and the staff made us use the shower on the Spa while they were sorting it out. It was the first time I encountered that problem in this resort so it was really not a big deal.

Second time in BDS this year. I really like it. Convenient location as 2 hours + from Manila airport.
Then a quiet and peaceful location only reachable by boat (5 minutes)
Accommodation : large room , air conditioning, very clean, facing the sea , can hear the waves= wonderful
Food : great !!! Super tasty , changing every day, good quantity. And the snacks are excellent
Diving : beautiful corals, friendly turtles , several dive sites nearby and few spots starting from the shore
Staff : super friendly, super helpful super nice

The only point to improve is the wifi capability and understand that some action are on-going : i will See next Time :)

This resort paradise is a gem within it's own right. For people wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, Bauan Diver's Resort is a must on anyone's bucket lists. Coming from Las Vegas which is full of 5-star level resorts and casinos, this was a completely different experience in which I and my wife experienced, although briefly for 1 day. The owner, who is my wife's family is an amazing and gracious host who took the time out of her busy schedule to give me a behind the scene tour of the resort. The resort has a full-blown bar/lounge/dining area right on the beachfront for a breath-taking view of the crystal clear water for diners to enjoy the wonder colorful coral reefs and backdrop of the open sea. Although I didn't do any diving, they offer many services for diving classes, kayaking, snorkeling, etc, the staff were extremely attentive to our needs.
I highly recommend this secluded paradise gem of a resort for anybody desiring a weekend getaway excursion, or an extended holiday of water fun filled adventures.
P.S. If you get a chance to talk to Lourdes, she's an amazing and inspirational person who has an adventurous life. Definitely recommend talking with her.
Although, I may sound bias as a new member of the family, she definitely tops my favorites for my newly found family.
Thank you for such an awesome experience Ate Lourdes.
I look forward visiting in the future whether in Philippines or in Hong Kong location.

    Sincerely,
    Aaron Olafson
