“Perfect Jungle Trek”

Kuldiha Wildlife Sanctuary
Reviewed 11 April 2017

Not sure if you can point out anything more than elephants or deer but the feel of dense forest and adventure is at the heights.

Just as wildlife photographer in hobby I was there between scorching sun and green forest...done 2 safari and got some excellent shots ...because of unprofessional behavior of forest stuff and very badly maintaining administration might it loose her charms ..lots of locals entering the forest with their own bikes in a protective zone and disturbing the wildlife .. recommended only for hard core wildlife enthusiastic ...try walk as much as possible in side the forest track ...

Though this FRH is closed for general visitors, but for a nightstay in the Sanctuary you can check in to Nature's camp (9km from this place) and have a wonderful stay, and you can visit this FRH during evening to sight wildlife at its premises. Kuldiha sanctuary is known for elephant, gaur, sambar, spotted deer, giant squirrel, a variety of bird species. And if you are lucky enough you can spot leopards on your way - be careful.

A very calm and serene place to relax your mind. Easy to reach and a lot to explore. If you are a bird watcher and wildlife enthusiast then this is a place for you. I really loved staying overnight with a friend....stargazing at night and birdwatching during early sunlight.

It is a beautiful place for the nature and wild life lovers.
The sanctuary is full of wild life like elephants, spotted dear, bear, wild bore, peacock, bison and many others.
We spent two night in tent , very well cleaned and maintained.
Those who plan to travel the sanctuary first to obtain permission from Nilgiri or Balasore forest range office.
Only SUV or MUV type vehicle with high ground clearance is suitable to travel.
Traveller should carry sufficient food item, drinking water and mosquito repellent .
Nice place to see wild life in very close proximity at their habitat.
Should be very cautious while driving inside the sanctuary. Any time you may encounter with wild animals.
Very good time to visit is from November to May.
Inside the sanctuary temperature is always 6-8° less than outer area.
