This place is magical. The waiters are brothers, father and uncle are cooks, and mother and aunt are farmers. This place is well and truly "Family Owned".
If you want something which is not on their regular menu, just request them while making the reservation and chances are that they will be able to make it specially for you.
The foie gras and the beef was of an unparalleled quality.
For families, their farm has have open house/tours everyday at 5PM.

We arrived after a long day literally as the kitchen was closing. The folks were nice enough to seat us. The food was great. One of us was vegetarian and they made a special salad for her.
So not only were they life savers, but we also enjoyed a very good meal.

How do you put on superb food in a three course menu including bloc de foie gras, confit of duck and dessert for €17? This restaurant provides the answer. Excellent wine by the carafe / glass. Try the Monbazillac style wine with the foie gras.
PS: If going in the evening, you will only need a very light lunch!!

Aftter driving up the narrow picturesque side road, one might be suprised by the cosy looks of this place. This is now more a gastronomic restaurant rather than a traditional auberge. That being said, the food is very good, based on traditional Dordogne recipes and products. However, it is a bit overpriced, compared with other (more traditional) auberge in the area. The portions are on the small side - the duck confit was accompanied by merely 5 small sarladaise potatoes. Also the onsite shop, selling their own products, is more expensive than other similar places.
