Our trip Oct 2017 had two rooms 214 & 215 at the front of the main building , overlooking the main road ..... and it's noisy at night !
The lower floor 112 , 113 . 114 etc had the same complaint .
There is a second building unit at the rear with quieter rooms , but beware again of those on the lower ground floor behind the pool with no view at all - just a brick wall .
The pool is small and cold , and the pool bar is un-attended for most of the time !
Great breakfast ... sun beds available and mostly shaded by trees .
We needed an electrician to fix the main room light which was staying on all the time ...
so they just removed the bulbs !!

Room Tip: Not 214 , 215 and others overlooking the main road

We enjoyed our week in the Yakinthos. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The staff work very hard for many hours and are always helpful to the guests. The hotel has a pool, but the beach is also very close. It is easy to get a bus to Chania.

Room Tip: The road by the hotel is very busy, even at night, so it is better to have a room facing the po

We were amazed by the friendly staff, clean and beatiful hotel, which was close to the sea and offered amazing breakfast. Everyone was trying really hard and we had an amazing time!

Just got back yesterday following our second stay at the Yakinthos (we were there June 2016). I'm pleased to report the hotel is just a good as ever. The hotel is really clean and the housekeeping in the bedrooms is first class. We paid for the air con as the temperature was around 30 degrees for the fortnight. All the staff are lovely and very friendly. Breakfast is self serve and has a varied selection to suit everyone and they provide a good menu for anyone wanting lunch. We took advantage of their free pool towel service too. The pool is good with plenty of sunbeds and never too busy as the nearby beaches are first class - nice soft sand and you can walk out into the sea for about 100 yards before you get out of your depth. Lots of good restaurants close by and the bus into Chania town centre stops just near the hotel. I can't recommend this hotel strongly enough - it's one that we'll definitely be going back to.
