A memorial for those who died during the last war, now with a rather intriguing and thought provoking monument for the danish sailors who drowned sailing convoys

Visited due to reading about this site on Tripadvisor. It's an easy walk from the train but keep in mind the street "Ryvang Alle" crosses over "Tuborgvej" which is the street where you will find the entrance to the park. You have to walk down stairs to from Ryvang Alle to get to Tuborgvej. We almost missed that. The park was empty when we arrived so it was very quiet. The park is beautifully maintained and it appeared they were working on adding some pathways in the forested area behind the main burial site. It's hard not to feel affected by the history of this place. A sobering experience that is well-worth your time. At the back of the park there is a pond and some walking/biking trails that were in use but we saw no one in the main area with the plaques and graves. I hope that was just because it was during the week and earlier in the day. Memorials such as this are much needed in the world.

The place to go to remember Danish resistance victims for WWII.

Calm, heavy duty history, nice place to walk around in, in silence.

I would suggest that you read up on the Danish Resistance history before visiting this memorial park so you can really absorb the importance of the resistance movement in Denmark during WWII.
The place is quite tricky to find if you are not familiar with the area especially if taking the train but well worth a visit!

The Danish WW2 resistance memorial was serene and quiet and whilst obvioulsy and old place it carries the style of that decade and thus sets the scene for some reflection and thanks for past sacrifice for a greater cause. Come, reflect and leave with faith.
