Very poor customer service. Staffs are all rude (front desk and breakfast servers). I had to check in here for my cousin’s wedding. I called front desk to ask details about the breakfast and he answered “Ma’am ako na ng gisulti nimo pagcheck in palang.” Really?! I also work in the hospitality industry and it is never okay to answer like that. No matter how repetitive the questions are, you should always answer your guests politely. Did you even screen all your employees before hiring them? Do you ever train them about customer service? Because basing from how we were treated, it’s very disappointing. No matter how beautiful the hotel is, if the staffs are rude, you will always lose customers. You’re in the front desk for a reason, to greet guests and let them feel welcomed the moment they step in the lobby. Also, we requested for room cleaning to no avail. So we asked for trash liners instead, front desk confirmed but never came. So for everyone planning to check in, think twice!

Worst hotel you can stay at. Choose another hotel in that area. If the rate seems cheap because they charge pretty much everything. To share with you a background, me and two of my hotelier friends stayed here. Started before check-in I asked them if they can provide an iron and ironing board in the room because we are traveling from
Manila and are attending a wedding. This is such a basic amenity for a hotel but no they can’t do it because “it might cause an accident”. Instead they want you to pay for pressing. Fast forward during the stay. We missed breakfast by minutes and we are trying to order coffee from room service. They dont want to even deliver this to the room. They want us to walk a good 10mins and pick it up ourselves. We asked we can just get toast because we missed breakfast. Gave us two slices of toast and asked us to again pay. Btw their breakfast is not even worth going its just plated limited choice. Go get your own coffee from the station.
No housekeeping for two nights. Not even an to offer to replenish necessities in the room. You have to call everytime for this and the resort is not even half occupied. Are you that busy?
But they’re not finish there. We asked to borrow an umbrella because it was raining really hard. They said we can only borrow and surrender it to the gate of the resort. They have our luggage. Are they super concerned that we would take those cheap umbrellas?
Lastly they charged us for the towel saying it was dyed. I explained to them that it was a purple conditioner and I even showed them it can be removed by soap and water. They still insisted to charge. Now I see how cheap they can get and just paid. I asked to take the towel with me since I actually paid for it, but now they said I pay a full price for a brandnew towel. I didnt even want to take it home. I just want to throw it and make sure they cant re-use something they charge me for. Ended up saying that what I paid for is just cleaning fee. Php300 to laundry a towel.
Your staff are only ever concerned about charging whatever they can get away with. Very disgusting service.

Room tip: Avoid this hotel at all cost.

Excellent staff, upbeat room service attitude, reception accommodated my requests at no additional costs. Great food must try the chicken barbecue and oven baked pizza. Clean and well kept rooms at very affordable price. Certainly the best hotel when you are in Butuan

Room tip: Organize an airport pickup. Bring umbrella and walking shoes. Walking distance to malls.

well as we did before covid we went to Almont to eat and after we thought we can go to their swimming pool... No, only people who rent a room can enjoy the swimming pool... Well sorry we wont rent a 1300pesos room and truly we pay 1500 pesos to eat the food was ok but for the same amount you can eat better food in Isabelo. We wont come back (despite we came here often before covid). We ll try if Doties or Oasiz xill let us use their swimming pool

Almont Hotel, Marketing at Almont Inland Resort, responded to this reviewResponded June 23, 2021

Dear Olivier,

Thank you for visiting Almont Inland Resort again. Since the start of the 'new normal', a lot has changed. New safety protocols, policies, and restrictions have been implemented as mandated by the LGU and other agencies for the safety of everyone. During MGCQ, adults were allowed to avail Daytour (Use of Pool and Dine) except for kids, but with consideration for in-house guests. So we offered a special rate of P1,300 for a DayCation (Daytime Accommodation) for families with kids who wanted to use the pool, too. This policy was followed by all hotels in Butuan City.

We hope this gives you clarity, and we certainly look forward to your next visit. Please stay safe.

I had my 14 days quarantine stay here at Almont Inland Resort last August 2020. The room rate is a higher than other hotels in the City, but with my stay it's just enough for the money I pay. Food is great from breakfast to dinner. I had no problems because it was very comfortable from the start till I check-out. Staff are all very accommodation. I would recommend Almont.
