My friends and I went to the resort last August 2016. The place was breath taking and the service is awesome. The restaurant staff is also very accommodating. The menu is limited but the food is good. The place is highly recommended. One thing though is you would only be able to reach the resort after a grueling 2-hr speed boat ride.

I went there last weekend, Aug. 19-21 with a friend to celebrate my birthday. The moment we arrived, we felt like we're VIP's as around 4 or 5 staff were lined up in the beachfront to welcome us in their resort. We were immediately given a cold drink and snack while waiting. Check-in was a breeze, we were asked if we would like go to our room even if it's just 10AM. No waiting. Everything was already prepared.

We were in the hilltop room near the main area so going up and down the restaurant wasn't a big problem. The rooms are spacious enough good for 4 persons. Beds are soft. Although there were many ants in our room but it is just a minor hiccup.

Food selection in the restaurant were okay. Taste is acceptable to my Filipino standards, since I expected the worst based on the reviews. Although it is a bit pricey at Php 450 per meal but serving is actually good for two.

The restaurant overlooking the infinity pool on one side, and the beach on the other side is heaven. It is to die for. It is so beautiful you have to see it in person.

But what I notice, and also the main reason why I will go back and recommend it to my friends, is their customer service. It is TOPNOTCH. We were greeted by the staff everytime they passed us. We were attended immediately to our needs. They even tried to look for an alkaline battery that I forgot to bring to use my camera, which they gave for free.

Definitely a 4.5 out of 5 star. The missing 0.5 is only for the late pick up in Codon port by their speed boat. We waited for more than an hour although they said that the waves were very strong so it is understandable.

Room tip: Choose the room on the top near the restaurant.

Tugawe is a beautiful resort without any doubt. Isolated, peaceful and quiet, really an R & R resort.

PRO: lovely room and bed (hilltop king)
Comfy pillows. Great view.

CONS: although hotel staff are friendly, helpful and approachable this resort need lot of improvements like informing guests ahead of time especially with important matters.

No wifi in this resort due of technical issues and bad weather.

Restaurant menu is confusing like all food has same unreasonable price and you have no other choices/options to eat somewhere because of isolation.

Food not really impressive.

Over price Island hopping tour.

If u need a medical attention, im sorry but no available doctor in this resort.

Upon check out TUGAWE promise us that boat transfer will take us to PANIMAN PORT which is closer from the tugawe resort and yes the "safest" route due to bad sea condition but unfortunately the speedboat men took the other route (way far) to CARAMOAN town where we felt so nervous for our lives. Current was so strong, boat was jumping, Thou we reach caramoan town port scared and safe, its not right to risk our lives and send us in the raging sea.

~ Still recommended but only good for couple of days, nothin much to do.

We got picked up by a speedboat at Talisay port and upon arrival at the resort we got transported to their restaurant (no need to walk) where we were given free drinks and snacks. Your room keys will be given and a list of activities you can do at the resort. If you wish to do island hopping, better to inform them a day before. As for the food, everything was delicious. Individual meals are good for two but if you're hungry you can consume it by yourself. The rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

Room tip: Going to the beach and back to their restaurant will require a bit of exercise so better to have a room situated in the middle.

We stayed here on our return trip from the northern portion of Caramoan. It wasn't our first choice because the location is farthest from the north islands we visited mainly Lahuy, Sabitan Laya and Cotivas but halfway on the way back to mainland Cams Sur.

The resort is on the hill of a large cove and one is transported to the main reception through a winding drive on a long golf cart. Upon arrival, a visitor is offered a sweet drink and some banana fritters ( which we did not try because we had all been previously bothered by a GI bug at another resort). The reception staff were nice but there seemed to be a language barrier.

Above the reception area on the very top is a restaurant and just below it an infinity pool. The views are beautiful everywhere.

We had to walk down several flights of steps to reach our villas. We booked the lakeside view villas which I liked very much because it was a short walk to the beach where we preferred to swim, rather than in the pool.

The rooms are well appointed and quite comfortable. Unlike what I had heard from other friends who had visited, we found everything to be in working order.

Most of the staff were extremely helpful. At breakfast, I had to request a ginger rice porridge for one of our guests who was recovering from a GI virus and she reported that it was delicious ( she had not eaten for almost 24 hours and was eager to have some solid food). Most of the food that we tried were delicious.

Since we had already gone island hopping prior to our arrival, we stayed in the resort for the most part. The difficulty I found was that if I needed to make a call on my cell or connect to wifi, I had to take the several hundred steps to go to the main reception area to get coverage.

Other than this, our stay was quite delightful and I would like to go back again and explore Pitogo islands. Our return trip to the main land was on their high speed motorboat which was also very pleasant and much faster compared to an outrigger boat.

Room tip: The 200 steps going up can be a challenge so chose the locations of your rooms well. The tram wasn't working when we stayed there.
