Iconic city filled with rich history.

For my teen living and seeing and smelling and feeling this city... has helped her ace her 9th grade history class.

We had three days in Quebec and had a lovely time. We went on a walking tour of the old city as well as a horse and carriage ride. We had lunch at a great hotel St Patrick’s.We visited the Chateau Frontenac and had a drink in the bar there. What a beautiful hotel. There is a funicular that takes you from the bottom of the old town up to the Chateau Frontenac. Lots of lovely shops and interesting buildings.

We had a great tour guide who took us through old Québec- it’s gorgeous, and best done on foot, up close & personal.

Despite the cold April weather, it was fun exploring this area. Makes you feel like you are in Europe, with a beautiful building, great restaurant, and photo to take at every turn. For history buffs, shoppers, and foodies—something for everyone. You can really get your steps in so comfortable shoes are a must and we suggest dressing in layers and keeping your backpack handy for hitting the little shops.

We chose QC to support my son’s acclimation to the French language since he is studying it and will continue to do so. Although this is the low season for tourists and chilly weather-wise,QC was ready for us. Restaurants were easier to get into and hotel rates were very good compared to high season. We enjoyed our visit and the people and the history.
