My family of 4 (2 kids ages 14 and 10) took the River to Mountain tour on a chilly November day. Great tour! The guide was wonderful. He clearly loves his city and after this tour I was in love with it too. We really got a feel for the different parts of the city and got to explore some of the underground along the way. The tour is well designed because it takes you outside for only 5-10 minutes at a time before warming up inside. The longest time outside was the optional climb to the overlook on Mount Royale and you won't feel cold with that workout! Well worth it and there is a nice building at the top with bathrooms and seating to rest for a bit until the much easier climb down. If you happen to visit Montreal in winter do not miss an opportunity to explore the city with this tour. We can't wait to return in the summer for a bike tour with this company.

I visited Montreal for the first time over a November weekend and the first item on my itinerary was the Old Montreal walking tour with Leah. She is very knowledgeable and her bubbliness made the trip very enjoyable. I definitely recommend this walking tour if this is your first time in the city.

Our tour guide was very informative/knowledgeable. We also have a very small group which makes it more collaborative & easy-going. But this is a food tour that starts at 11:30am & you would think that they will take into consideration that it's very close to lunch & that they will bring us to the places that will nourish us. But we went to Chinatown first & had a fortune cookie & some sugar-spun candy in another location. Then we tried tea in another. Then at almost 1:30, we had the poutine. Not really the most delectable food when you're starving but I guess you at least get to eat something more substantive. My partner was so hungry that he ordered the hotdog from the same establishment. Guess he's not a fan of the poutine. It would have been so much better if we started in the Old Jewish Quarter & had the yummy pastrami from Schwatz's. They need to tweak this tour for sure.
