Nice italian restaurant with a convenient location in downtown Ottawa which means it was quite busy on a Friday night. The service was prompt and courteous, the food however received mixed reviews at our table. The appetizers were quite good (soup for her, salad for me) and I thoroughly enjoyed my Veal Gamberetti pairwd with a quite good fettuccine alfredo my wife however had the spaghetti bolognese which she found to be much too salty. It may have been that a mistake was made during the preparation or it may be a function of the fact that we use very limited amounts of salt when cooking at home and consequently find it more noticeable when eating out. At any rate we have to give it one thumb up and one thumb down.

not sure what happened, for the last few times the food just was not that good; but they still have a very nice wine selection and good location for downtown

Nice atmosphere, dim lighting with modern decor. Food came out piping hot. First served bread and olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Large wine selection. Salmon was very good and the chicken parmigiana was average. For dessert we shared a slice of cheesecake (asked for fresh fruit on top but they did not have) so brought it with chocolate and caramel sauce. Cheesecake was very good. Would eat here again

I cannot say the food was terrible but it was definitely not the best. I had a pasta meal which was very basic in taste, something I could make myself. Not a place I would discourage but at the same time, not somewhere I see myself going again if I feel like eating Italian food.

The bread was decent, kind of hard to screw up there. I got the fettuccine with tomato/herb/garlic and it was very very below average. I did not enjoy the dish whatsoever. The pasta noodles itself were weird, not like any fettuccine i've had before. They tasted like rice noodles. The tortellini my friend had was decent though

Overall... i would not go here again, there are much better italian restaurants in ottawa. The prices were pretty up there as well.

Oh yeah tiramisu was prob the best part of the night which isn't saying much.
