Went on the axe throwing & craft beer tour and it was great! Jakob was a great tour guide and Jackson our Axe throwing coach made sure we enjoyed our experience! The beer sampling & food we had during our tour was delicious!

My wife was given a tour gift certificate for the 3 stop southern tour as a gift, and we finally got around to booking the tour for a Sunday. A few days before, they called to see if we would mind switching to the 5 stop northern tour instead as a free upgrade. We have already been to every brewery in the Niagara Region, so it didn't matter to us.
The tour was just us and another local couple and turned out to be a fantastic day. Jakob picked us up at our house a little early and we proceeded to the first stop, Exchange Brewery, where we had an extensive tour of their facilities, with an in-depth explanation of the entire brewing process. We then got to sample several of their brews with info about each one from the bartender. We then went to Silversmith, Oast, Sunnybrook Farm/Ironwood Cider, and finally to Niagara College Teaching Brewery, with several more samples at each and the opportunity to get food at Silversmith if you wanted.
Jakob took us in at each stop to introduce us and get us started, and then came back after a while to see if we were ready to go to the next stop. Never any pressure to hurry nor were we ever sitting and waiting. Each stop was the right amount of time. Being all local, the conversations in the van were mostly about local things, present and past, which was probably a nice break for Jakob, not having to be the Niagara area tour guide per se, but he still offered information about each brewery and the buildings they occupy.
Overall, it was an excellent tour and an afternoon well spent. I would highly recommend this tour for any craft beer enthusiast, as there are some very good beers being made in the Niagara Region. I would especially recommend the Niagara College Teaching Brewery, where they have a great core line of beers as well as constantly changing student brews. But the high-lite of each visit there is talking to the students and seeing their enthusiasm for what they are doing.

My brother and I had a great tour of local craft breweries and a cider tour in February. Steve was awesome to deal with to book the tour and the personal follow up took any concerns away before we even got to the city. We were picked up outside our hotel by Jakob and he looked after us the whole tour. He was very personalable and knowledgeable and ensured we enjoyed our tour. I highly recommend this tour and any interaction with Steve and Jakob will be rewarding.

Six of us took the lunch tour for a bachelor party and while it was quite a good time with friends, the structure and value of the tour wasn't the greatest. We were picked up promptly on time and or guide was very friendly and knowledgeable of the are. However, the tour itself seemed to comprise of us being dropped off at each stop and left to our own devices once the beer was brought out, rather than a tour.

The first stop was the Niagara College Teaching Brewery and after being dropped off the students on site gave us samples from the taps. And we were able to take a look in the back where it was we made, but only when asked. The second stop was Brimstone Brewery which was a very unique brewery in a old church, but again after arriving we were left in the bar area. The final stop was Taps in Niagara Falls which just comprised of us sitting around a table in the restaurant.

Again, while we had alot of fun and the guide was nice, it would have been nice to have been taken on proper tours of each stop and learn more or the process.

Thank you for writing a review on your experience with us. We at Niagara Craft Brewery Tours take people from all over the world on a Tour of all the Craft Brewery's here in Niagara. The tours of each individual brewery are at the discretion of each individual brewery. Generally, on each tour we insist on at least one in-depth tour at a stop. We were surprised to hear that one was not given to your group. 99% of our tours get an in-depth tour on any given tour (but, its never guaranteed) . Several things (on very rare occasions) effect this such as; brewery staff shortage, major production day, construction, behaviour/composure of individuals in a tour group.

All in all we hope you enjoyed your small tour of 3 great Niagara Craft Brewery's.

Thank you for your feedback!
