We eat lunch here often and the lunch buffet is always fresh with a great variety of dishes--a variety that changes from day to day. It's always a culinary adventure. The buffet includes both vegetarian and meat dishes. While the restaurant has plenty of space, it is popular,so arrive early. Favourite dish? Haven't tried one I didn't enjoy.

We've been to Diwa many times, lunch, dinner, takeout. It's all good all the time. Staff are involved and the owner almost always speaks with us.

One of our favourites is Lamb Vindaloo. Spicy enough to make you take notice but not enough to obscure the taste

Heard good things, saw good reviews but was highly disappointed by the pace this restaurant works at. Be prepared to have a 2.5 hour dinner (minimum) for simple dishes like vegetable samosas, butter chicken, garlic naan, chicken biryani.and fish pakoras.

Taste - I'm bewildered how many people think the food tastes good. While I agree it must be the best Indian food in Guelph, it definitely does not come close to the Indian food in the GTA. Butter chicken was sweet - no spice at all. Same can be said about chicken biryani. The fish pakoras are comparable to High Liner Fish Sticks I can get for 5$ at No Frills - waited approx 45 mins for this 1 dish too... They serve the same "chutney" and tamarind/sweet sauce for their appetizer chips/samosas and fish pakoras.

Overall, dreadful experience. At least the waitress was very nice and polite and tried her best to pick up the pace for the kitchen's shortcomings.

Do not let the location of this restaurant fool you. This is a wonderful restaurant with a cosy and warm atmosphere. Staff have always been friendly and inviting. Service, in addition to the incredibly flavoured food has always been excellent.

I would recommend to everyone. In case you are not an avid dinner of Indian cuisine, the staff is always helpful in making suggestions, and we welcomed them!

In the past year, we have been 7 times. Our favorite restaurant.
