If you are like me, graveyards are fascinating and unique places to discover the history of the area one visits. Take the time to leisurely walk through this most interesting place of rest and give pause to the memories of those long gone by admiring their tomb stones and often one-of-a-kind grave stones. many very significant players in Halifax history are buried here with their families. Easily marked with directions and interpretive signs, the Camp Hill Cemetery will give up the ghosts to you during your visit. Enjoy a piece of Halifax history.

Romance with the Dead. going back in time is a wonderful thing...You feel like you are taken back to historic British North America....the headstones are amazing, it is over treed and quiet...you can get away to think, explore and find some halifax famous people...some people use it as a thorough fare and some people use it to get away and think, some eat their lunch there and some punks go to smoke their dope....its a haven for everyone.....

Located by in the center of Halifax. The tombstones are some of the oldest in the city and of many different designs. Beautiful trees are through out the stones.

Not as old as the Old Burying Grounds but still pretty impressive with old graves. The best part of Camp Hill Cemetery is finding the famous folks of Halifax. Alexander Keith and Joseph Howe are probably the two most famous. You'll also find Viola Desmond, civil rights activist and Robert Stanfield, former premier of Nova Scotia. Busy cemetery with lots of foot traffic cutting across between Summer Street and Robie Street.

This is a small quiet cemetery down towards the waterfront. It is a very old cemetery and has graves dating back to the 1700's. It is very historic.
