We had an excellent breakfast and a very helpful waitress. Couldn’t have been better. When we tried to go back for lunch, we were flabbergasted at how popular they must be by the very long lineup to get and the place was full

Was a bit of a line up, but we were seated in no time. Server was quick and friendly. The food arrived quickly and was hot and delicious. Loved the different items on the menu.

When travelling, I quickly get tired of boring monotonous breakfasts served at most restaurants. We discovered this unobtrusive diner on Douglas Street and were thrilled at the variety of unique items on the menu. We kept returning to try another menu item. Everything was absolutely delicious, portions were large, and prices reasonable. We will definitely return.

OK let's be real, this diner is not in Victoria's fanciest neighborhood. But please don't let that fact keep you away, because this diner is superb. Staff are welcoming and friendly, the retro music is familiar and homey, and the food is SO GREAT. They made the best huevos rancheros I've ever eaten. And my son kept trying to explain to me the many ways in which their waffles were so much better than mine lol. 'I want to live here' said my picky eater. Me too little buddy, me too. Thanks spoons, we will be back.

Severs were great, quick to seat and take a drink order and explain some menu items. Food came quickly and heres what we found:

Nice presentation on Dani's benedict, however potatoes were deep fried in either old oil or oil that had broken down due to cooking mass amounts of raw potatoes, very dark and burned tasting but soggy at the same time-couldnt eat those but the benedict was good. My wife had a super sweet french toast special, being delicious as it was she couldnt eat much due to the sickly sweet of it. So breakfast for 2 ran us just over $50 with tip and we only ate half of our meals. Probably wont go back, lots of bfast places in Vic.
