Where do I start: After we checked in, and let the staff know that the TV didn't work, we were told that there were no pets allowed. On their business card it says "Pet Friendly", on the Trip Advisor website for Labradores, it says "pets allowed", I e-mailed the Hotel manager 3 times w/picture of Mina our dog, asking about the elevator working, and hair dryers, and if Mina was Ok to bring. I did this as a gesture of good faith. No response to any of the e-mails, so we brought Mina. Obviously we were surprised by the info of no Mina allowed. So after an hour of trying to get an extension cord for the TV from the Labradores staff (the outlet was bad) to connect to an outlet further away, ...I drove to a friends house, and borrowed one. Came back, plugged it in, and the TV worked great. No thanks to anyone at Labradores. Then a staff member came back with a phone with the manager on the line, and we explained that we weren't moving. And asked, "why didn't you respond to my e-mails, and why does it say "Pet friendly" on your business card"? She didn't answer that really, but a staff person came back with a pre-printed standard form for protecting the hotel from damages from pets. We read that, knew it was a standard form that we've signed in the past. Signed it, and they left. Why didn't they just present that to us in the first place. It was a very weird moment. In the 14 years we've had a dog travel with us in hotels, this was the most "odd" transaction we've ever experienced. The suite was great! The bed great! But they're building a cafe/bar on the roof, and so for the entire weekend during daylight hours, there was drilling, and pounding, and just general constant noise of construction going on. Saturday. Sunday....all day. We won't be returning. I have no idea why the elevator stopped working. It worked when we arrived, and moved our luggage, supplies on it. Then later in the afternoon, thru Monday, it just "wasn't working". A local told us that the management didn't want the cafe construction workers using it, so they turn it off. I said "neither do the clients of the hotel get to use it either"....but that's hearsay....find someplace else!

Room Tip: go somewhere else !

Twenty minutes away from San Miguel, there is this hotel.... Its huge, and in the middle of nowhere.
Beautiful place, nice landscape, surrounded by empty lots and nice new homes. You can stroll around them and their beautiful cactaceas parks.
There is a cafeteria, where you can have a buffet breakfast. Nothing spectacular, but eatable.
The rooms are very spacious and with kitchennet service.
The decoration coild improve. But that is me, being picky.
Nice smiles from the untrained staff, but good will and service nature.
The pool has natural spring water. nIce and warm.

Definite disadvantage in not speaking Spanish at this resort. It was difficult to get the staff to understand anything you needed. There was construction work going above and beneath us starting at 6.30/7.00 am each day. Kitchen was not well equipped, no toaster no oven no knives for cutting fruit & veg. Too far out from the town of San Miguel spent a lot on taxis. When weather was cool the apt. was freezing ,no heating system. A lot of things will be corrected as fairly new apts.
