I was lucky enough to return to San Miguel de Allende this weekend in August. I chose the small luxury boutique hotel of Villa Limon. I was in the Villa Meyer which was absolutely beautifully decorated, with a luxurious king size bed and large bathroom, every detail was thought of, from the fluffy towels to soft sheets. I had a view of the courtyard with the view and sound of the fountain. I had a great massage in the spa with Adriana, (highly recommended). The staff and owners Stewart and Vanessa made my stay all the better with their excellent service, friendliness and helpfulness to let me know how to best explore the city and enjoy the sites. I can highly recommend this hotel, it was cozy, friendly and sophisticated. They served a delicious breakfast and I also had two dinners there in the beautiful rooftop restaurante (also highly recommended). If you go to San Miguel, this is the place to stay and its right in the center of the downtown area, where you can walk to see everything.

Room tip: I saw several of the rooms and they are all beautiful and quiet as they mostly face the beautiful courtyard.

I spent a week in San Miguel and chose this small luxury boutique hotel. It is darling. I speak no Spanish, and the staff was very accommodating. Antonio the concierge would go out of his way to help me find what I needed. The breakfast was included and I was able to have eggs, coffee, toast and fruit. It was much better than a typical pastry selection. The rooms were large and spacious. My bed was extremely comfortable. The restaurant Zumo was open for dinner, and I tried it one night. It was European and excellent -- sometimes you have enough of the beans and rice, and this restaurant is the real deal. What I liked the most was the location. It is about a 2 minute walk to Centero or the center of town, yet was nice and quiet. There is a rooster nearby who woke me up everyday, but now that I'm home I miss him and all of San Miguel. I will be coming back next year.

We stayed four nights here and were very happy. The staff were terrific and offered ideas about where to eat and what to do. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Great king size bed. The breakfast was perfect, on the roof top patio. The location is great, easy walk to the main square and quiet despite being on a Main Street.

My wife and I stayed here December 29 through January 1. We were in Villa Franca. The room was huge and felt very luxurious. We had a balcony overlooking the street( standing room only), a fireplace, high ceilings, and a huge bathroom. The view from the balcony was awesome! Despite the fact that the hotel is bordered on one side by a busy street, the noise was not bad with the balcony door shut. The hotel itself is very quaint and well designed. There is a nice open lobby and an amazing rooftop. The views from the rooftop are some of the best in the city. The restaurant is also very good. There is a small bar on the rooftop as well where you can sit and enjoy drinks even if the restaurant is full. The Jardin is only a five minute walk and we always felt very safe walking back to the hotel in the evenings.

We have stayed at Villa Limon three times over the past several visits to San Miguel de Allende and between the beautiful design, immaculate rooms and fantastic restaurant with one of the best views in the city, we can't wait to go back! I highly recommend Villa Limon and thanks to Vanessa, Stewart, Jael and all the service staff for making our stay in this magical city!
